Then, board a boat for the brief trip out to the memorial itself, a building built over the submerged ship. Through the clear floor of the structure, you can see the battleship on the ocean floor below. Midday, stop for lunch (own expense). Stop at Nuʻuanu Pali lookout, where King Kamehameha I won a fierce battle for control of Oahu in 1795. Enjoy panoramic views of Kailua Bay and Kanehoe Bay, then head down through the mountains towards the coast, stopping at Halona Blowhole and Hanauma Bay. Listen as your guide offers information about all the sites, ask questions, and be sure to have your camera ready. Return to Waikiki for drop-off at your hotel around 4 pm.
This was by far the most informative well planned out trip we could of done. Our tour guide Shorts was excellent and exceeded all of our expectations. He was a wealth of information, never pausing to find his place, humorous, and seemed to truly enjoy his job.
Although some of the stops are short, remember that you are packing many sights and miles into 10 hours, this is by far the best way to see the island . We rented a car for the week and did much on our own, but never would of been able to coordinate this on our own. This was a great value, fantastic lunch included, and is highly recommended!
This tour was amazing. We were only in Oahu for 2 days and this tour let us see all of the island. The tour guide was very informative and made many great stops including Pearl Harbor! Lunch was really good. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
I wish there was a 10 star scale, this adventure was it. Our tour guide Pualani was incredible. She knew the history of Oahu and shared so many interesting facts and sites. Pualani made us feel like 'Ohana from the minute we stepped on her bus. Pear Harbor is a must see and very moving. Highly recommend this tour and VERY VERY HIGHLY recommend you request Pualani if you want a good time while learning the history of the island.
To have a circle island tour that leaves out two of the major features on the island - Wiamea Falls and the Punchbowl Arlington of the Pacific - is just incredible. Many of us on the bus were surprised and not a little upset at this. The driver's smarmy comment That's a different tour wasn't helpful. Why even have a tour of type if you're going to do this?
A MAJOR disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this tour even if YOU paid ME to take it.
WHAT A DEAL! This was an entire day of sightseeing. Totally worth the money! We got to Pearl Harbor very early and thank goodness--the line was around the block when we left. We hit a few very touristy places, but hey! I'm a tourist and appreciated it! I really enjoyed my tour guide, Cousin Fred. For sure recommend this deal!
