Spend the day learning about Bahia’s colonial history and touring a replica of one of the Portuguese ships that first arrived in Brazil. Visitors can see the inside of the ship and tour a hall full of artifacts and documents telling the story of Brazil’s colonization, with narration from historian guides. Guests of the memorial can also learn about the history of Bahia Indigenous Pataxó people and tour a replica of an original Pataxó dwelling. The memorial also has a beautiful botanical garden to explore.
