Portillo Inca Lagoon at The Andes Mountains and San Esteban Vineyard from Santiago

The guide was very good and have lot of information to give us about Chile and Santiago, It was a long trip by minivan from Santiago, to came to the lagoon, but some small and short stops with, small walkingtours up in A Wineterass, Winetesting and Empanadas was very nice!, so the trip dosent feel so long. When you came upp to the Lagoon in the mountains after many, many curves IT WAS FANTASTIC! and amacing. And we get lucky with the wether it was warm and clearly sky.

Great excursion to a beautiful location high in the Andes near the border of Argentina. The wine tasting and petroglyphs walk were also worthwhile.

We enjoyed the close up view of the Andes and stop at the petroglyphs park. We gave this three stars because of the timing....the Portillo ski resort was the main reason we signed up and without any snow and high heat the views were a bit lackluster and not what was pictured. We probably should have realized that seeing it was March. The guide and driver were very friendly and informative and it’s definitely a sedentary tour with a lot of time spent on the bus.

The driver and the guide were great! That’s about where it ends. There were 2 stops basically. The first stop is where you go to taste the wine and eat empanadas. But also to hike up a small hill to see some symbols carved into rocks. The next stop is the lake. But it doesn’t look like the picture you see in the description. At least not in the summer. I imagine it looks like that during the winter, but who knows. I took this tour because I’m not particularly interested in a wine tour, but it still took half of the trip.

The visit to the vineyard to buy wine for the picnic obviously tempted us to buy extra to take home. From there we went to a hill with 500 year old stone carvings on it. It was a long climb upwards up a rock strewn rough path in the heat, not for the faint hearted or infirm, but the views were lovely at the top, the carvings a bit faint and not overly inspiring, to be hones would have been happy to sit at the bottom of the hill and look at a book of them, but perhaps that's just me. Our guide did say he thought they would be better displayed in a museum! But after that the day was magical. We had a 'snack' in the shade at the bottom of the hill of a hot empanada and wine tastings. We then piled back into the minibus and climbed up into the Andes to Portillo, where we were shown into a lovely restaurant overlooking the stunning lake, so that we could order lunch (not included in the price) The lake and the mountains were an amazing view, cameras very much at the ready. This is a ski resort where international athletes come to train, and with snow on the mountains would be even better. The return to the hotel was interrupted by a disturbance in the centre, but the driver just found another route and got us all back safely.

A great day trip with a wonderful guide and driver. Michael & Jimmy were excellent. The scenery and views from the Andes were amazing. Winery stop was also really great with wine and warm home made empanadas under some shady trees looking over the vineyard. Excellent trip with hotel pick up and drop off included

Was a lovely visit through the countryside and into the mountains. Wine tasting and snack was excellent. Drive up to Portillo was spectacular and lunch there was excellent and reasonably priced. Guide and driver were friendly and helpful.

Excellent overview of countryside near Santiago. Lots to see in Valle de Aconcagua and the drive to Portillo and Laguna Del Inca was outstanding! Alexis, our guide, was informative and funny. Hector, the driver, did great on the 31 switchbacks up and down the mountain. Worth doing.

Amazing tour full of surprises - including petrogliphics and a concert by our flutist guide. Great introduction to the variety of beautiful Chile.

The tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about wine, and the drive up into the Andes was stunning. I took one point off for the minivan which although modern and air-conditioned was very claustrophobic.
