Small-Group Cajón del Maipo Full-Day Tour and Picnic

This trip really showcased the mountain area. The tour guide was real good and knowledgeable. The small group was nice. We had about 12 people.

This trip was worth the long hours on the road. The view of the mountains and the water were beautiful. The road leading to the Cajon was a bit scary because it is super close to the edge, but I never felt truly unsafe. The picnic stop could have been longer and it could have had better food. I suggest bringing your own food if you can to make it a better experience. The bus ride back to town was super hot. We felt like we were going to pass out because it seemed like the AC stopped working properly. It made an otherwise wonderful trip into a very uncomfortable one.

Excellent tour and you can't beat the price! We were picked up at our hotel at the pre-arranged time. The bus was full, approximately 18 of us all together. Tour guide was very informative and accommodating considering he had to do it in three different languages. The drive to Cajon del Maipo was beautiful and we made several stops on the way for breaks. I would definitely recommend this tour.

A good trip with main site visit meeting all expectations. Local town visit a bit disappointing with very little to see/ do. Guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. Pickup etc on time. Did not appreciate that park entrance fee had to be paid as an extra.

Everything detailed in the overview were provided. Our guide, Christian, was a very nice man and provided a lot of information about the region. The picnic was quite nice. I enjoyed the opportunity at El Yeso to be able to do a nice walk. Highlight of the day was the Chocolate House ... I could have spent more time there. Very good day out.

Absolutely crappy service!!! Honestly the trip and the tour guide weren't bad!! But the company is so bad!!! They didn't confirm any information and when I contacted their given number all I got was attitude. They confirmed pick up time of 6am at 11pm the night before. When I called their number they just hung up and messaged back with aggression. The bus were taken is was horrible!! It was 34 degrees outside and the aircon wasn't working with 15people in it!! Absolutely disgusting. We also booked transfer with the company and when I messaged to ask about the pick up time all I got again was attitude and aggression. Really really bad customer service. The place where taken to wasn't bad. So strongly suggest to visit the site but with a different company. There are many many more who do the same trip but won't leave you with such a bad taste!!

Tour was great, went a little longer then expected. Got some amazing photos and guide knew what he was talking about. Just wish the van had better air conditioning as it barely worked.

We booked this tour before we left as we were staying in Santiago for a few days and visiting the Andes sounded amazing. Our tour guide was Gonzalo who kept us totally up to date with pick up time and what we should take on the tour i.e. sunscreen, hat etc. Gonzalo was very detailed with information and places we were passing on our away, which was great, but unfortunately most of it was in Spanish. He did do an English version but very watered down compared to commentary in Spanish. Even so we did enjoy our day the scenery on the way and there is amazing just breathtaking. The picnic that was organised was a snack of dry biscuits, meat, cheese, dips and a nice glass of red to top it off or orange juice. The location for the picnic was also excellent viewing some glaciers. On the way back to Santiago we stopped off a cute place for an ice cream and then San Jose to visit a market which l think was unnecessary. Overall we did love our experience but as previous mentioned the lack of English. Gonzalo did send us some photo's of the group at the picnic and Cajon del Maipo in snow which was a lovely touch. When you book this tour just make sure the $5.00 fee to enter is included as our was not and we had to pay on the day. In fact everyone on the bus has to pay this extra fee??

The tour was very well organised and the guide and driver were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There is an additional 5000CLP charge which is not communicated while booking the ticket, however, it is very well worth the tour.

I would highly recommend this tour. Beautiful scenery, great driver and tour guide. Fun picnic had enough time to explore at each stop
