Great tour in such a beautiful city of Seattle. Chef Eric was uber knowledgeable about the foods and where they came from and how to use them. The Merchants were also helpful with the same explanations. Best way to take in the Pike Market!!
Chef John delivered everything promised! We we're a small group which meant lots if time to ask questions. Tasting stops were representative of the whole market. The discount was used after the tour to revisit places we thought were exceptional, which all were! Well done Chef John and Seattle Eats!
Good tour. Informative about this amazing market and definitely worth it. Could have spent more time on food and less on the history and culture of the market. Chowder was as good as they say as was Uli's sausage.
Having done a similar tour in Rome, the standard was set high. Met Chef John outside Seattle Coffee Works on time. Very nice and knowledgeable guy. The highlights involved tasting of chowder, cheese and surprisingly Truffles. Not much for Truffles but this place had amazing tasty options. The stop for coffee and coffee cake was probably needless. We stopped and tried dried vegetables and fruit which was ok. The dried okra was a pleasant surprise. We did try some awesome salmon. Another stop was for sausage and yogurt but I'm not much of a fan of either. Would have enjoyed more seafood. Definitely, the highlight was the chowder and penne with cheese.John did give a great history of the market which was very informative.
