My first visit to Shanghai was six months ago. I booked a day tour with Jennys Shanghai tours. When I returned last week my first thought was how much fun Id had. Portia, my tour guide didnt just go through the motions but was sincerely engaged and committed to making sure I had a real sense of the city. Extensive travel has taught me that the essence of a city is discovered after viewing it from a number of angles like a photo or fine art piece. For these reasons I booked this tour with Jennys. Huanghe Road Food Street was a blast. The food choices were amazing and I struggled to pace myself because I knew more goodies awaited on Nanjing Road. The evening ferry ride gave me the opportunity to catch the Shanghai skyline from pleasant, shifting angles. I had previously toured the Bund and the World Financial Center Building during daylight hours. It was a very different experience seeing these, lit up and sparkling landmarks after sundown.

What an amazing way to spend an evening in Shanghai. The street food, dumplings, were amazing. Then to see city lights at the Bund was magical. Followed by an enjoyable view of Shanghai from top of the Jin Mao building. The guide Suzie was friendly and knowledgeable.
