An incredible experience. In the morning we were met by our wonderful guide Alana who, despite the wet weather, made the day special. Her positive attitude along with her knowledge made for an unforgettable experience.
The trip was very good. The tour guide Barry, arranged entrace tickets (which was additional cost) . He guided us through the walk in park and showed good photo stops. He did good job on his second day as guide to this tour hahaha..
Amazing park, great tour, however, be warned 4 hours is not enough time for relaxed enjoyment. You will be walking quickly through the park the whole time. Should you wish to relax and enjoy park go on your own. It is very busy popular place. Guide was great and drives were pleasant and lunch stop after was delicious.
This tour was organised by Sugaman tours. I had a terrible day. I was told there would be luxury transport with wifi, a knowledgeable guide with a microphone and headsets and all I got was average transport to and from the waterfalls and I could have just walked around endlessly on my own as my guide gave us no information so he didn't really need a headset. I emailed the company towards the end of the day demanding a partial refund for my disappointment considering they only gave 25 of what was promised on the day. they gave me a refund of only 20 and apologized that their tour guide was sick that day. I don't believe them about this because it still did not explain why their transport was terrible and if their guide was sick they should have told people before starting the tour not afterwards when everyone complained. I would not advise you book with sugaman tours. They are dodgy and run one good tour and one average tour on the day, unfortunately, I was on the bad one, because the people on the other bus were very happy, so if you want a 50/50 chance of a good day, then take the chance and book.
This was a very nice day trip from Split! The bus took us right away in the morning and we traveled to the park, with one bathroom break. Our tour guide Petra was so fun, nice and very knowledgeable about everything! I guess we went on a day the park was not that crowded, but it seemed to be crowded. I would have liked more time to stop and look at different areas, but didn't want to leave the group. Also, I thought the group would be smaller, there were 19 of us and I was hoping for 10 or so. On the way back we stopped at a good lunch spot after our 6 mile hike. Highly recommend!
Plitvice lakes national park is absolutely beautiful and a must go for Croatia visitors. I give 4 stars primarily because I felt the tour was rushed and it was difficult to keep up especially if you wanted to stop and take some scenic pictures. The park has several spots with breathtaking views and we were unable to stop and enjoy them. Perhaps the tour operator may consider cutting down on restaurant time and extend some park time..
Petra was our guide and she was excellent, the lakes are beautiful and a real national treasure. a great day out, only downside is that its such a great place that its a bit busy on the narrow board walks. No fault of the tour or the guide of course and only a minor gripe.
Petra was an amazing tour guide! She provided lots of interesting info on the bus ride there and back. Having her take us around the park made the experience so much more enjoyable than if we had to find our way around the massive park ourselves. Highly recommend!
Amazing Tour! My family and I were picked up from hotel at 7am and taken to center of Split where we joined the rest of the group. It was beautiful seeing Split early in the morning. I would not have gotten up that early otherwise, but tour to Plitvice was totally worth it. Our tour guide(Elena) was wonderdul and very entertaining. She gave some fun facts about Croatia on our drive to the lakes and she made sure we saw all the best areas of the park. My two young kids, 3 years old and 5 months old were troopers on the tour. My 3yr old walking the whole time. Definitely need to hold hands as the paths are narrow and water or drop offs on both sides. It was Stunning and definitely made you feel adventurous!!
Marko set up the tour for us and was very accommodating with the fact that two small children would be on the tour.
This was definitely the highlight of our trip!
