Discover British Columbia's beautiful Squamish River on this guided kayaking tour. Beginning from the sandy beaches of the community of Brackendale, head down the short but very large Squamish River, en route to a network of fjords known as Howe Sound. This 4-hour kayaking tour — targeted at those with some previous kayaking experience — ends in downtown Squamish. All the necessary equipment is provided.
This 4-hour adventure begins at the Sea to Sky Adventure Company, located inside the Squamish Adventure Centre on Loggers Lane in Squamish, British Columbia.
This downriver, point-to-point paddle starts in the lagoon-like waters of Brackendale at sunrise and continues down the Squamish River, out around the Spit and into an expansive network of fjords known as Howe Sound. The paddle concludes in downtown Squamish.
The tour begins early (8am) in order to enjoy the serenity of the glassy morning waters. Look for eagles and other shore birds waking up and spreading their wings in their natural environment. An occasional seal may come into view as well. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Tantalus mountain range and the waterfalls nestled in its hills.
Some basic paddling experience is necessary. All the necessary equipment, plus shuttle transportation, are provided.
