Make your own way to Bankstown Airport to meet your aerobatic competition pilot.
Receive a safety briefing and headset, which allows you to be in communication with your pilot throughout the flight. Then, get securely strapped into your seat on the plane, which is a modern version of Curtis Pitts’ classic all-American muscle-biplane. It has a 260 horsepower engine and a roll rate in excess of 300 degrees per second.
Take off and fly to the nearby aerobatic area. Your pilot begins with the basics of the loop, roll and vertical reversal. After going through the basic maneuvers, you might reach speeds of up to 211 miles per hour (340 km/hr), and experience G-forces of up to +6 and -5 G’s as your pilot performs tail-slides, inverted spins, snap rolls, torque rolls, rolling turns, and other daredevil aerobatic tricks.
Your pilot returns you to the ground after approximately 30 minutes of adrenaline-fueled fun.
