Make your own way to the Kings Cross Holiday Inn or YHA Sydney central, where you’ll meet your guide and group of no more than 18 people. During the short journey to the Royal National Park, get to know your fellow tour participants – with an age cap of 35 years and the tour aimed at students and backpackers, you’re sure to find something in common.
After a short stop to purchase drinks and snacks (optional), arrive at Wattamolla Beach, and take time to snap some photos of the beautiful beach, with its sandy shores set against a dramatic backdrop of dense bushlands and a glittering lagoon. Enjoy free time to swim and sunbath at the beach, or perhaps take part in a game of beach cricket or beach soccer. Meet back up with your guide for lunch and experience another quintessential Aussie pastime – a traditional BBQ by the seafront.
After lunch, make a stop at the Governor Game Lookout to admire the views along the coast and perhaps spot whales and dolphins swimming in the ocean below. Continue into the Bald Hill Headland Reserve, a hotspot for paragliding and hang-gliding, and watch the pros in action as you gaze out over the cliffs.
After a full day exploring the national park, head back to the city, where your tour ends with drop-off at your departure point or, for those who wish, a drink (included) at a local bar.
