Yes! I am so glad that I purchased this 7 day pass and got to go everywhere that I wanted to go in Japan. Will purchase it again! Thank you!

Was easy to obtain the Rail Pass once in Japan. This 7 day pass more than paid for itself when using the Shinkansen from Osaka to Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and Tokyo.

if you plan on going to other cities get the green pass for the bullet train

The best value in Japan! I bought he 7-day, standard pass. It allowed me to travel freely and easily during my trip.

Excellent deal. The system is easy to use once you read, plan your trips and look at maps. You must plan and be aware of getting your tickets from the correct source. If you are using the station offices ensure you have the opening times and give yourself enough time to secure tickets.

Recommended if you're traveling between cities in Japan for one week.

This was a a really great value and it worked out so well for us. In terms of saving money, this is advantageous if you do two or three long distance train trips in between cities. You can always google the price of your prospective train trips and compare to see if you would save by getting the pass. This pass also allows you to use the JR lines which are plentiful in Tokyo. For us this was a life saver. The logistics may look complicated at first but they are rather simple. The voucher arrived via FedEx in the US which we then exchanged for the pass at Shinjiku station JR office in Tokyo. Just make sure that your passport is stamped as a temporary visitor when going through immigration in Japan, as this is required in order to obtain the JR pass. Then once, at the JR office, just let the clerk know when you wish the start date of the pass to be. That is all there is to it. We really used this pass quite a bit and I shudder to know what transportation would have cost us if it were not for the JR Pass.

Best way to travel if you're doing 2-3 big train trips. Used it to get to Kyoto, Nara, Nikko, Tokyo, and more.

Just read all the instructions carefully - you have to take this to a JR station with your passport to exchange for the actual JR Pass. Also recommend booking some seats ahead of time - write down the days and times and bring them with you. We activated at the Shibuya station and it went very well.
