Get as close as safely possible to Wellington’s rugged seal colony on this small group tour of Wellington’s rocky, wild cost. Here the fur seals fish, play, and sunbathe. On a hot summer’s day, you might be tempted to do the same. This half-day tour offers a quick way to escape the stress and fast-pace of the central city.
  • Experience a working sheep and beef farm without the hassle of a long drive from the city
  • Drive past some Wellington landmarks and around the coast to understand the broader region
  • Plenty of time for questions: ask your guide anything about seals or New Zealand’s unique marine life
  • Experience this local favorite: Red Rocks and the Seal Colony are a popular weekend outing for Wellingtonians

The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Great fun to see a wind farm up close and to see the seals in their natural habitat. Highly recommend this tour.

This is a must due private tour when visiting Wellington. Craig was our Guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, and exceeded or expectations. This tour was competitively priced with Seal colony tours available through our cruise ship however, this tour was kept to a small group of 10 people. Craig gave us a nature walk, showed us great views, and brought us to a secluded beach to view seals.
