3-Days Private Luxury Golden Triangle Tour to Agra and Jaipur From New Delhi
In Agra we woke up early to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal with our first guide, Aman.
We started our tour with Keeper Landwey customizing the trip so we could do Jaipur, then Agra, then New Delhi and make our flight out of Delhi on time. This was a very easy and fluid process to make the change and they confirmed the itinerary right away.
When we got to our hotel in Delhi, we got a Whatsapp message confirming pickup time, driver name, and where our guide would meet us. All communications through Whatsapp were quickly answered.
In the morning at pick up time, we met our driver, Taranjeet, at the hotel. He confirmed we were the guests he was picking up and let us know about driving in India. He was a very safe driver and our comfort and security were his utmost priority. He also pointed out interesting things along the drive, such as marble carvers, mountains, wildlife, and Indian weddings.
We met our guide in Jaipur, Avinash Sharma, and began the tour with seeing the Amber Palace/Amer Fort. The line was very long for cars so Mr. Sharma suggested we walk the short way while our driver waited in the car line, which got us in much faster than waiting in the car. His comments on the tour were insightful and he knew a lot of the other tour guides as he has been a guide for more than 30 years. Lunch in Jaipur was at a restaurant which was a bit more expensive than other places we had eaten, but it was hygienic which is important. He also took us to a local jeweler, who showed us some of the stones they cut in Jaipur. The owner did try to sell us some very expensive pieces but saying no wasn't that much of a hassle. Some may be annoyed with all the selling.
In Agra we woke up early to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal with our first guide, Aman. Then we stopped back at the hotel for a nap before meeting with our second guide, Kamran. Both of them knew a lot about the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and were happy to answer all our questions. Kamran also helped us customize our time by taking us to get some leather goods, which Agra is famous for.
In the morning we left for New Delhi and made it in good time thanks to our driver. We met with Shahnawaz (sp?), our final guide. We did sightseeing and stopped for lunch. Unfortunately the restaurant only had salad and flatbread pizza available. We also had another person from the company come and ask us to write a review on the spot, but I told him it would have to wait until I got back to my laptop at home. Since the restaurant was out of butter chicken which is famous in Delhi, the guide helped us find some to takeaway.
Overall this tour made seeing three cities in three days very easy. Everything was taken care of and we got into many monuments without waiting in line, even on the weekend. We certainly could not have see as much as we did without the help of our driver, Taranjeet, and all of our guides. We felt very safe and secure the whole time, and as a female traveler, that was important to me. Overall, this tour was a great deal and we enjoyed the ability to see so much in our final three days in India. Thank you to everyone at Keeper Landwey!
