The island is renowned for the many outstanding wines, some of them produced in the wine capital of MARSALA, which gives the name to the world-famous wine. The nearby SALT PANS with its characteristic old windmills, are inside a beautiful area protected by the WWF, right on the coast between Trapani and Marsala. The salt produced in this area is part of Slow Food Italian Presidia. ERICE, with its unique location, just about 2500 feet above sea level, it overlooks nearby Trapani and the salt flats, and is surrounded by a lush park and hilltop castles, which offer charming old stone streets to stroll and several medieval churches to investigate.
Western Sicily has attractions of the caliber of those on the eastern coast, but they are often less accessible by public transportation. Instead of renting a car and dealing with the hassle of driving in Italy, let someone else take you to Segesta and Selinunte—two of Sicily’s less-known, but no less beautiful archeological ruins located nearly on separate coasts, and roughly an hour apart by car.
What makes WindBusters unique is being the only "itinerant" type of kite school in Sicily, that is, moving in a constant search for the wind.
With WindBusters you will never get bored because it will always be where the wind is blowing, but even if you don't find it (it can happen) we will always provide you with interesting activities and alternative experiences.
At the end of each course you will receive an IKO Member Card that will certify your level and that will be valid and recognized throughout the world. The member card is required in IKO centers to hire equipment or to continue with advanced courses.
