An insight on Queen Elizabeth National Park
Close to 100 species of mammals and about 606 types of birds dwell within this park and among them is are the: large schools of hippos, large forest hogs and the good-look Uganda kobs which are all commonly seen in the tourist villages on the magnificent Mweya Peninsula which prides in a beautiful waterfront locale within the shadows of Mountain Rwenzori. However, the isolated Ishasha Sector is prominent for the resident tree-climbing lions, the Maramagambo forest is habitat to an attractive diversity of monkeys plus birds, the crater lakes hold thousands of the beautiful pink flamingoes, while the Kyambura Gorges is habitat to habituated Chimpanzees.
The 2 days Uganda safari to Lake Mburo Is a rewarding short Uganda safari to a serene lake, rolling hills and abundant wildlife makes Lake Mburo a gem of a national park. Search the savannah for Burchell’s zebra, giraffes, eland, kobs, Buffalos that are all found here. Take to the water in search of crocodiles and some of the over 300 hippos living in the lake. Pick up from your place of residence as early as 8:00 A.M, and travel to Entebbe, our first stop over is the Independence Monument. After the Independence Monument, continue to Gadafi Mosque then Kabaka’s Lake. From the Kabaka’s Lake we proceed to the Uganda Wild Life Education Centre. The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre popularly called Entebbe Zoo . The animal sanctuary has lions, giraffes, snakes, chimpanzees and many more animals on display, plus children's rides & a play area. After the Uganda Wild Life Education Centre we proceed to have lunch at one of the restaurants in Nkumba University and have a tour of the University. We will conclude the day by taking a short tour around Entebbe town. We will start from the Mayors’ gardens and proceed to tour Entebbe Airport. After the Entebbe Airport we will return you back to your Hotel.
