Tour itself was fantastic, but...

Tour itself was fantastic, but getting there and back was a nightmare as pick-up was not included with this tour.
Expected more than a film and lecture about the rum and making. Was hoping to see the factory or bottling plant, something more. Waited a long time for the tour not every half hour and a long time for our drink, which we were told was free but was only 5 off on certain drinks. Juice for kids was charged 4 each! Lots of other stuff to do in Barbados, I would skip this tour.
My husband and I enjoyed the Mount Gay Signature Rum Tour. I don't care for straight rum, but my husband especially enjoyed sampling the top of the line rums. The only downside to our tour was the bottling line was shut down as the workers were at lunch while we were there. I would have liked to have seen the whole process at work. We purchased a bottle of their rum at the lowest price of all the islands.
Booked the full tour, well worth the extra. Joined the regular tour for an informative talk, tour and short film presentation followed by some rum tasting, we were then taken to the garden/ restaurant for another tasting of 5 different expensive rums a very informative explanation of how the blends work. Did this tour independently a short walk from the cruise terminal.
