Spend a delightful 1.5 hours relaxing on a cruise along the Garonne River, sipping prestigious Bordeaux wines and gazing at the fantastic scenery. Watch the attractions of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed city of Bordeaux, including Place de la Bourse, give way to the vineyard-covered hills of the Aquitaine region as you learn about this area's wine-making history from your onboard guide. Choose from two starting points for the cruise, Quai Richelieu or Cité du Vin.
  • View architectural gems along the city's UNESCO World Heritage-listed waterfront
  • Cruise the Garonne River from Bordeaux to the beautiful Aquitaine countryside
  • Enjoy a wine-tasting session with a professional sommelier
  • Sip a variety of Bordeaux wines while admiring vineyards and farmlands
Your wine-tasting and sightseeing cruise starts in Bordeaux at either Quai Richelieu or Cité du Vin. Climb aboard the boat and settle in for a relaxing journey along the Garonne River.

See the sights of Bordeaux's historic center from the water as you drift along, including the Place de la Bourse, and glide underneath bridges such as the modern Jacques Chalban-Delmas and the impressive Pont d'Aquitaine. Watch for historic signs of Bordeaux's changes from the ancient Roman era through today.

This UNESCO-listed city's monuments and architectural landmarks slowly give way to the countryside of the Aquitaine region. These vineyard-covered hills include some incredibly famous wine regions, such as Médoc, Sauternes, Côtes de Bourg and St-Emilion.

As you're looking out at such prominent vineyards, sample some of the local wines during a sommelier-led tasting session. The Bordeaux region produces a wide variety of wines, from the rich reds of the  Médoc to the crisp whites of the Côtes de Bourg.

At the conclusion of a 1.5-hour cruise, return to central Bordeaux where your tour ends.

An informative and pleasant cruise on the Garonne in Bordeaux, coupled with wine tasting and instruction. A great afternoon!
Relaxing River Trip

A wonderfully relaxing way to see the city and hear its history. I thought the wine might not be good, but it was excellent.. I thoroughly recommend this.
Very average experience

Thank goodness the sun was shining so I could just close my eyes and enjoy having the sun on my face else this would have been such a dull experience. We literally went a nano distance up and down the river with two guides prattling on about nothing. The wine tasting was one red and one white with a woman explaining how you’re meant to taste wine properly. So patronising!

This was extremely disappointing. A small boat, with limited good viewing, along an ordinary river, with not one word spoken in English. We had no idea what was being said about the views or the wines. Not recommended

Our voucher showed the tour commentary would be in English. This was not the case, and when we politely asked and showed our voucher that it was to be in in English, we were rather abruptly informed that it was only in French. Consequently, we had no idea what the various points of interest were. Kay and Alister

Petite croisière sur la Garonne. Bonne explication de la part de notre guide pour la moitié du trajet. Comme on revient sur nos pas pour le retours, alors nous n'avons qu'à admirer le paysage. Intéressant, mais sans plus.
