Bordeaux dinner cruise on the Garonne River
Sip a welcome cocktail while admiring the scenery
Marvel at beautiful floodlit architecture along the riverbank, a UNESCO World Heritage site
See Place de la Bourse, Basilica of St Michael and other waterfront sights illuminated at night
Climb aboard your cruise boat near the historic center of Bordeaux for a trip along the Garonne River, one of the longest rivers in the country. Take the welcome apéritif as you board, to sip as you settle in and await the start of the cruise.
The Garonne River cuts through Bordeaux as well as much of the famous wine region that surrounds the city, making it a particularly scenic waterway. During your 3-hour cruise, you'll see the sights of Bordeaux illuminated against the night sky – Quai Richelieu, Place de la Bourse, Pont du Pierre, the Port of Bassens and the Basilica of St Michael among them. The boat turns around at the Château Grattequina for the return journey.
As you watch the beautiful scenery drift past, dine in style on a 3-course meal. The menu changes along with the seasons, so you can expect the chefs will be using the freshest local ingredients as they prepare each dish on board the boat. Drinks are available for purchase on board (own expense). See the Itinerary section below for a sample menu.
At the conclusion of your cruise, your boat returns to its starting point.
Nice, if you are a foodie book on the boats direct website

We enjoyed however were surprised when we got on board to learn the seats by window were only sold with the more gourmet menu via Bordeaux river cruise website. Just to be aware! Service friendly and everything else as advertised
Although the weather was bad, the nicely air conditioned interior made that you experienced the weather very pleasantly. The service was of a very high standard and our waitron was very attentive to not only us but all his tables. The additional cost for wine and coffee was not exorbitant at all and value for money, this cruise is one of the best I've experienced in Europe. The boat was punctual in both leaving and returning after 3 hours and we really felt that we'd been given not only our money's worth but also a most extraordinary view of Bordeaux.
To begin with, the cruise was 30 minutes late leaving port. We took this particular cruise as it stressed See the lights of Bordeaux from the water. We spent about 30 minutes where the lights were and then travelled up river where there was absolutely nothing to see. As we dont speak much French the one waiter who did speak English left before we left port our service was not the best. The food came to the table only lukewarm and you had no choice of menu. I would not waste the time or money to take this cruise
The tour was supposed to be 3 hours .. Was only 2 .... There was no guide about what we were passing etc... The food was nice but very small ..main course was two tiny pieces of fish.. Over all disappointing for the price .. 116 euro for both of us
Excellent experience. Beverage and meal choices were very good. The service was impeccable. The crew had the timing down pat. Only trouble was confusion in the boarding area. We were waiting at the doc labeled appropriately. Who knew there were two docks, both labeled the same. The boat operator should make a distinction between the two docks. Many of us were waiting and would have missed the boat if my husband had not seen a long line of people at the other end of the doc.
On the plus side, the boat has great staff friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was OK but not very warm. The real downside is that the trip is just dull. Don't expect anything like a cruise though Paris on the Seine or London on the Thames. This stretch of the Garonne is largely scruffy and industrial.
Booked 4 course meal, got downgraded 3 courses, only explanation was it sometimes happens with web bookings.....can not do anything about it now. This despite us producing our booking details, it's a con.
