The sheer number of tourist attractions in Buenos Aires, Argentina can feel overwhelming, but this Buenos Aires city tour allows you to hit all of the highlights in short order with interesting, educational commentary from a local guide.

After pickup at your hotel, begin your sightseeing adventure in Buenos Aires' Retiro neighborhood, home to many of the city's exclusive hotels and shops. Settle in to your comfortable coach as you travel towards Plaza de Mayo, the political center of Buenos Aires and home to Casa Rosada, the rosy pink home of the Argentinian president. After a stop for photos here, move on to other nearby tourist attractions in Buenos Aires like the Teatro Colón, Plaza de República, and the Obelisco de Buenos Aires (Obelisk of Buenos Aires.)

Your coach will continue on to tango-centric San Telmo by way of Puerto Madero, where you can visit the weekend antiques market if your sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires occurs on a Sunday. Colorful La Boca is up next, originally an Italian neighborhood with a famous pedestrian-only street called the Caminito. Disembark and stroll through the community of local artists selling their masterpieces on the street.

Back on the coach, continue to populous Palermo and tour through Palermo Woods, home to the city's planetarium and the Buenos Aires Zoo. Your tour will end up in exclusive Recoleta, home of many of the city's most impressive mansions and one of the Buenos Aires' most treasured cultural attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery. You'll be dropped at Galerias Pacifico, a shopping area where you can explore at your own pace.

We only had a short time in Buenos Aires so this tour was perfect. It took us to all the most important sights with enough time to look around La Bocca. At the end of the tour we were asked if there was anywhere on the route we would like to be dropped off, so asked for near the Cemetery so that we could look around at our leisure.
Good Value

Good coverage of many sites in Buenos Aires. Guide Nicholas and driver Christian , well done . Just check thoroughly where you could be dropped off.

This is a great short tour, only three hours, in which you are shown some of the highlights of the city and allowed some time to get off the bus and take photos. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable.
A quick overview

It was a quick overview of some of the most visited areas of the city, but you could only get down to see two of the areas and for only 1/2 hour. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable but there was nothing outstanding about the tour. We were supposed to finish the tour in Recoleta near the cemetery but instead we were told that the bus would drop us off near the center. If I had known that I would have seen the cemetery on my own but instead waited to see it that day, which didn't happen.

The guide was 45 minutes late as she was scheduled by her company for an earlier tour that finished after our tour was to begin. This was supposed to be an English language tour , but instead it was a Spanish-English tour and the guide had to repeat everything she talked about in both languages--and she spoke more in Spanish than in English. Sophia was a new guide and just rattled off facts with no depth. she was a poor communicator. tour was an overall bad experience for our 6 participants, not worthy of Viatour

My mom and I booked this 3 hour tour very last minute. We were only in Buenos Aires for 2 nights, and we thought this looked like a great way to see the city in a short amount of time. This tour exceeded our expectations. And for that price! You really can't get much better. We were able to see everything we wanted to see. We specifically loved the La Boca neighborhood where they let us get out and explore for about 45 min street tango and colorful buildings. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. Highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful city - you will get much more out of it with just a little understanding of the last 150 years. People, buildings, culture all great. La Boca just exists for tourists - fight the temptation to see it. Although it sounds weird, you must see the cemetery at Recoleta and not just for you-know-whose's plot!
