Begin your private tour at the V&A Waterfront helipad right in central Cape Town. Climb into a helicopter and kick off the adventure with a complete circle around the city’s most recognizable landmark — Table Mountain. Continue over the city to see Cape Town Stadium, one of the hosts of the 2010 World Cup, and down along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

Pass Signal Hill and fly over Camps Bay and Clifton Beach, each with their luxury homes. See the Twelve Apostles mountains from an impressive new angle as you head for Karbonkelberg Mountain.

Soar over historic Hout Bay and then cross the Cape Peninsula to move from one ocean to the other. See if you can tell where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Indian Ocean offshore near False Bay. Watch as the terrain below you changes from sandy beaches to rolling hills to rugged cliffs. Fly over Muizenberg Beach and keep your eye out for shadows in the water — they might just be great white sharks.

Head back toward Cape Town on the other side of Table Mountain for a different view of both the mountain and the landscape around it. Pass over the pretty vineyards of the Constantia Valley before landing once again at the V&A Waterfront helipad.

My sister and me booked this tour when we arrived in Cape Town. The company were very efficient and confirmed our booking very quickly. It was very easy to walk to the helipad in Cape Town, though we stopped by the company's stand at the Waterfront and were offered a ride in a buggy! On arrival, the staff were incredibly professional and were were given a safety briefing. We were then weighed as where you sit in the helicopter depends on your weight. Paul was our pilot. He was fantastic; very informative and gave us every opportunity to see as much as possible irrespective of where was person was sat. So no-one was disadvantaged. We wore headphones and a microphone during the flight so we could speak with each other and hear him tell us about different points of interest. Seeing Cape Town and the local coastlines from the air was was money very well spent. We would highly recommend it.

Megan gave us an outstanding flight and tour. 25 minutes flying around Table Mountain, beaches and city. Airbus helicopters are the best. Comfortable and felt very safe. We would definitely do again. Well worth the price.

It’s ok, but highly depend on where you sit. They allocate seats to balance the weight (this is ok as it is due to safety), but even if you are given one of the back seats- it depends left or right, as the pilot doesn’t fly the way to ensure that both sides get the same views.

We really loved this experience: everything was organised on a top level and the views were spectacular. We were really lucky with our pilot Werner, who managed to perform the flight perfectly despite the wind and told us a lot of interesting information during the flight. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed this experience very much! We had a private helicopter flight and were able to have a complete overview of the whole city and nearby towns. A perfect introduction to Cape Town! We were picked up by a golf cart right in the middle of V&A and quickly escorted to the helipads where the team was waiting for us and quickly signed us in. Our pilot, Paul was very friendly and informative. He gave us a lot of new information about the city and local tips which we found very helpful. The flight was very smooth and an experience we will never forget. This is a must do activity in Cape Town. Thank you Paul and Cape Town Helicopters.
