It's advertised as 5 days, but it was more like 2 days. Day 1 was a 9pm overnight bus from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. Day 2 consisted of me sitting around at their office for 5 hours while waiting for the other travelers to arrive. I met the Australian owner when I arrived at his office and, while he was very nice, I felt I was listening to a sales pitch rather than having a conversation with him. I went to his neighbors home, Belinda, where I had a great breakfast you pay for it and good conversation. She has an interesting story to tell! At 1 pm we take a boat to the reservation and the jungle experience begins here. The bungalows were very comfortable, clean, and netted to keep bugs out. The activities, such as the caiman search, jungle walk, canopy walk, ect, were a lot of fun and I learned a lot! The tour guides spoke great English and really tried to make our experience a good one. The conservation area itself was disappointing as it felt more like a zoo than a rehabilitation site. Other than the butterflies, we did not see any of the animals caged here in the wild and I believe this has to do with the constant tourism in the area. The cook was fantastic and they accommodated to my vegetarian diet AND it was tasty! On Day 4, we left the reservation at 8am and arrived back to PM around 9am or so. My bus did not leave until 9pm so I sat around the office most of the time and wandered the town for 2-3 hours. Day 5 was the overnight bus home. Overall, the 2 days I actually spent in the jungle was great! For the cost though, I am not happy about my itinerary and would not recommend it. Many other companies offer the same package and activities besides the animal rehab and plant conservation portion for a much lower price, better use of time. I would look at other options before booking this.

4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu Through the Inca Trail | Nov 2019
Willie Huayaconza is an awesome guide with a good personality and very educational on the history of the Incan trail. The porters are super men, and the chefs prepare amazing tasting and presentation of meals. No one will go hungry. The trail is challenging, but for those who enjoy taking a break from socialization with a physical challenge, this is for you.

A Wwonderful experience helped by slick organisation

Amazon Jungle 4-Day Adventure from Iquitos | Aug 2019
We were incredibly impressed by the Lodge operators, from beginning to end of the experience. The transfers were smooth, the lodge and accommodation were great (with hot water and fans in the room). The food was very varied, and the three trips per day were a great balance of things to see (though the swimming with pink river doplphins and catching and eating piranha were highlights. We could not fault anything-and unlike some lodges- the profits help the community.

4-Day Jungle Adventure to Machu Picchu: Biking, Ziplining, Rafting and Hiking | Jul 2019
it is a good trip overall. fist day was biking and rafting. hotel clean but no hot water. the room was hot so I have to open the window to face the mosquito. fortunately very few came to bite me. the second day was hiking. very good. the hotel was no good, smell bad and no hot water. consider where we are it might be the best solution. the third day was ziplining. it is one of the best. the hotel is very nice and food is good. the most important is our guide and he is very good. His name is junior and he made the trip to be a lot better.

Non-Existent Huacachina Tour

Huacachina Sand Buggy and Sand Boarding Experience | May 2019
I booked this experience and was followed up with an email confirming my reservation and giving instructions for a meeting point. We arrived right on time, to only find out this "La Bamba Sand Buggy Experience" didn't exist at this place. The hostel said they had heard of quite a few guests looking for "La Bamba" but it simply did not exist. We ended up having to pay for another Sand Buggy and Sand Board rental through the Desert Nights Hostel. It ended up working out for us, but we discourage you from booking this one in particular.

4-Day Jungle Adventure to Machu Picchu: Biking, Ziplining, Rafting and Hiking | Apr 2019
This trip was amazing - would definitely recommend! The views were beautiful, everything was arranged smoothly, and the rooms were practical (if you want to stay at boutique hotels, don't sign up for a jungle adventure lol). The food was good and our guide Junior was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond.

This was one of the best trips my husband and I have taken. Despite the challenging terrain Francisco and Sergio made the whole experience fantastic. The food was also amazing! If we decide to go on another Peruvian trip we will definitely ask to have Francisco as a guide.

Cusco Rafting and Zipline Adventure

Cusco Rafting and Zipline Adventure | Nov 2018
We had a good time on the rafting trip. We didn’t get the bread that was advertised above. I do wish they stated that you needed to bring a towel and swim suit. The tour guides were great and very knowledgeable. I was worried about the water and getting sick but all good. We couldn’t do the zip line because it was raining so don’t plan on it if you go to Cusco in rainy season.

4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu Through the Inca Trail | Sep 2018

Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, is the base for the popular trek to Machu Picchu. 90-95 of the Tourists to Machu Picchu, use the traditional train route to Machu Picchu. Around 5-10 of more adventurous souls undertake the multi-day trek to Machu Picchu. Though the trek is tough and energy-sapping, at the end of it all, you will be thankful for the experience ... Trust me!

When we were supposed to go on that tour, there were some local strikes and roads were barricaded. The agency offered us a different tour instead, and it was very interesting. Cusco and sacred Valley are such beautiful places, that I am sure quadbike tour would have been a great experience!
