Gris was an excellent hostess. Very pleasant. A wealth of information. Raul was an excellent driver. Would have loved to get to know him better but he only spoke Spanish and I don’t. Would use them again. All the sites were awe inspiring. It was a great tour. Pachamama was watching over us. The weather was perfect.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable but didn’t communicate well during car ride he could have given more information. If you asked he gave it willingly and explained well. Mike was patient and didn’t rush us. Great toir
Luis was our guide for the Sacred Valley tour. He was an excellent guide. He has good knowledge about the Inca history. Ollantaytambo ruins was part of our tour. It is approx.. 200 steps climb. He was aware of the fact that as it is in high altitude, people may get exhausted fast. He was taking small breaks so that it was not exhaustive. He shared really good stories from his previous experience as a guide.
Last but not the least, he is very helpful. We were suppose to book our trip for Rainbow Mountain while we are in Cusco and we got delayed. He helped us to get 2 slots at 9pm the previous day of the tour. The tour company already denied as the office was closed at that time. He spoke to the manager and arranged everything. Thank you Luis for your help.
This tour was very nice. We had a very nice day. Our guide was nice and was very good at explaining everything and answered all of our questions. The group was small which made it easier to ask questions.
We had a truly wonderful day with Solange exploring Pisac, Maras, Ollantaytambo and Moray. We even squeezed in a little trip to see some alpacas at the end of the day and got the opportunity to learn how the local women spin the alpaca wool and dye it. We started at 6:30AM and made it back about 6:30PM that evening. Everything was as expected. Solange was so wonderful and informative. My 5 year old son also came with us and she made it fun for him as well. We were picked up and dropped off to our hotel which was super convenient and all communication was easy via WhatsApp.
The only thing I wish would have been different was the lunch. It was a buffet style at a restaurant and it wasn't bad but I feel we could've eaten somewhere better - there is such amazing food in Peru and I feel the buffet was lackluster. Other than that everything else was wonderful. Solange rearranged the day so we could hit certain sites when there would be less people which was perfect - not too crowded and nice to go at our own pace instead of being overwhelmed by crowds.
Sarah so glad to hear that you and your son had an unforgettable time in the Sacred Valey :-) We will try to change the buffet so that next time when you come, you will be treated with the best peruvian food :-P
My boyfriend and I went on this tour with our super wonderful and friendly guide Solange. There were only 8 of us on the tour and we drove around the mountains in a small van. The van picked us up around 6:30 AM at our location in the morning and we started the drive to the sacred valley. We stopped and walked around at Pisac, Maras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo. Solange was very informative and seemed to genuinely enjoy her time with our group and talking about the history of these places. We also stopped for some delicious empanadas, a lunch buffet (the buffet wasn't that great, but hey, it's included in the price) and some chicha. We were dropped off near the main square around 8PM because there was traffic coming back into Cusco. Half of our group decided to get dropped off at the train station at Ollantaytambo so they could go directly to Aguas Calientes that night and then Machu Picchu the next day (I think this was a great idea, so definitely consider this option in your plans). Overall, this was an amazing day with a great guide. Thank you for the experience!
We were the only people booked for the tour for that day so we ended up getting a private tour! Luis was our tour guide and he was awesome — very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. He spoke excellent English and even accommodated a quick stop at a tap room in the Sacred Valley. Overall, a great experience.
