Best way to spend an evening in Doha!

We really enjoyed our city night tour with Adnan on our layover in Doha. He bought us some lovely tea and pancakes, and helped negotiate a good price for our shopping in the souk. Adnan took us to see all the main highlights and views, explaining lots about the city, life in Qatar and his philosophy of life - we learned loads and thoroughly enjoyed his company for the evening. Thank you Adnan!

HORRIBLE AND WASTE OF MONEY

This tour was a complete waste of time and money and just horrible. Viator should never of let this tour be reserved. Everything was closed for Prayer Day. We were supposed to be on a tour but yet the driver had no idea where to go or what to do. He asked us the Tourist what to do. For what we saw from the window of the car, the driver never told us about the history of the sights we passed by. He was just a driver not a tour guide and yet we were supposed to be on and paid for a Private 4 Hour City Tour. He would only address my husband not me, I assume because I am a woman. Yet I was the one that kept asking questions that weren't being answered. The driver not once held the door open for us entering or exiting the vehicle. I will be contacting Customer Service to receive some kind of refund. Extremely disappointed.

Evening city tour - Adnan

We had a 10 hour layover and wanted to get a glimpse of DohA at night. We have used Viator previously and each experience was positive. This tour by Adnan was just what we wanted! We were late finding our way out of the airport and had a hotel booked to shower. I had mistakenly put down an incorrect address for hotel so Adnan had to spend his time finding our correct address!! He handled the situation professionally. Adnan gave us a choice of what we wanted to see because our time was limited. He took us to a stand for street food so we could try different foods. His car was clean and spacious. Thank you for all the info you gave us and bringing us to the most interesting city buildings.

The tour is really good. I just felt Like it should’ve been more hours, I could go everywhere. But not really enough time to be at the places. My tour guide Salman, we absolutely lovely! He was the best! Explaining everything and very polite. Salman kept asking me if I wanted To stay longer on the places (I was concerned about our timeframe), and he kept asking me if o wanted photos taken. He was just lovely. Ask for Salman to be your tour guide if you book this package.

HOT and not very exciting

The tour guide was nice, the vehicle clean and comfortable, and water was provided. The stops were interesting, however many areas were closed, and the open locations were practically vacant. This isn't the fault of the tour provider, of course, but just be aware when booking that from 11-3 almost nothing will be going on due to the heat. We wanted to seek the Souqs and see all the people buying and selling, view all the unique stores, etc. But most of the shops were closed, and the open ones did not seem very welcoming compared to other markets we have been to in the past. There was hardly any customers in the entire souq aside from us. Maybe try to do the tour later in the evening when things are more lively?

While the tour stopped where promised, the guide did not speak English very well nor did he share much insight or history. He could identify the names of buildings but could not answer our questions to give us the richness of this unique culture—the reason we stayed in Doha in the first place.

We had a fantastic experience completing this tour during a recent layover. We arrived late at night so unfortunately the museum was closed, but it felt that we got a really good overview of Doha in such a short time. We left our bags in the guides vehicle and felt very safe. Would highly recommend!!

Great tour!

Great way to pass the time when you have a long layover. We purchased tickets for 1.5 hour after landing which gave us time to get out of the airport. Ali was super friendly and knowledgeable and he even took us to a delicious local restaurant for dinner. We had a great time, learned a lot and made it back for our flight with plenty of time to spare. Doha is pretty beautiful and Ali is a great guide.

Nice summary overview of Doha city's main attractions. Imran was a great guide. If flight schedules allow, you may want to add a few hours in the desert or a visit to the camel racing track (if it's in season), as the city itself is fairly quiet / low key.

Seeing Doha with a local

Ali showed us the beautiful new spaces in Doha while sharing his experiences of growing up in the city. The national Museum contains dramatic multi-media presentations of Qatar’s history. Ali also recommended a restaurant we never would have found on our own. Fantastic food!

A real opportunity to experience the city of Doha

Shabbir was our tour guide and he did a great job taking care of us. He had a very detailed and organized tour plan, and shared his interesting stories along the way. He bought us some local tea at Souq Waqif and led us to some birds/falcons stores. After sunset, he took us back to the pearl monument for more night photos of the skyline as requested. Overall it’s a great experience that we would recommend to our friends and families.

This tour was great. Had a long layover in Doha and it was the perfect way to spend the time. The city was amazing and got to see many of the highlights and attractions it had to offer and even sample a bit of its cuisine. If you have an extra four hours to kill in Doha I highly recommend it!!

Perfect layover tour

We had a great experience seeing Doha during our long layover. Bilal was our guide and he made sure we had a great time. The communication was great and we were picked up right at the airport which was very easy and it was just the two of us in a private car. Bilal was friendly and knowledge and gave us good recommendations. Would definitely recommend this tour as it’s a good way to see the city if you are passing through!

We visited the Cultural Centre, The Pearl, Museum of Islamic Art, Souq Wafiq. Great opportunity to learn about the cultural aspects of Doha on your stopover.
