It was a bit confusing as...

It was a bit confusing as there are different lines on the same route. I was waiting in front of the museum of the future when I was supposed to wait in the back. I saw the same driver for 3 rounds until I said where should I wait for my bus? He replied, you’re waiting in the wrong stop. Most of the day was wasting and therefore I rode the bus for a little time. What an expensive ride? I couldn’t ride the bus the day after since I had other commitments for that day. I lost my money.

Great 2 day attraction opption

Before the review, prompts to Keshara! She was VERY helpful all three times we came to the main kiosk at the Dubai mall. She helped us understand the best ways to use all of our pass features, and best times to do so. All of the agents were nice and helpful, but she was ABOVE the rest! Now, on to the review... We have ridden these types of busses in many locations, and usually find them worth the cost. This one in Dubai is good, but not great. I believe a two day pass is more than enough to ride and see the attractions it delivers you to. The Red line is much faster (20 min intervals vs 30) than the blue line, and has more intriguing stops. IF you go for the 5 day, like we did, it gives you more flexibility to see those attractions, and adds a couple of "free" adventures like the dhow cruise, the Atlantis Aquarium, and the sunset desert safari. We did all three, and they are what you would expect for a "free" add on... I say research the stops, decide if they are attractions you want/need to see, the cost, and then buy the right pass. The closest stop that is the same as a Metro stop is the Future Museum. Good to know if using both. Also the Gold Souk stop is not too much of a walk from that Metro stop. Download the Big Bus app, as it is very useful for this location. You can start your ride from any location it stops. Unless traveling by taxi, there is no short route to the Dubai Mall location. Not recommended as a starting point if unless you are already there.

Always try to the Big Bus Company - buses clean, drivers excellent and briefs informative. Have used this company in England, France, New York and in Dubai. Will be doing another trip to New York this September and have already booked my ticket.

None, it was an awful experience. It was raining outside and inside the bus. We were totally wet after the tour! Not to mention it was a little cold outside. That made it worse.

Good experience however very disappointed that the last bus from.Dubai mall was 5pm.which we missed because of traffic and had to take a taxi to our hotel

This was a great way to see Dubai. The staff of the "Big Red Bus Hop on Hop off" at Dubai Mall were very friendly and helpful. The trip gave us the opportunity to get off and look whenever we wanted. I recommend the additional dhow option.

The actual bus ride was fine.But there are no bus stop signs at all. No one knew where you stopped.I spent 2 hours walk

There was nothing memorable. Because I spent 2 hrs.in a strange city walking to different places people thought where the bus stopped, it made it dark when I got to the Brugj and I was too late to go up. I will never be in Dubai again and will never have that opportunity to see it. You ruined that opportunity.

Tour was 2 1/2 hrs leaving no time to look at sites properly, boat trip 1hr, if you missed limited availability for cruise to get back around tour program to make next cruise you had to allow another 2 1/2hrs, ridiculous!

Heart Break Through Big Bus Journey.

I have had Big bus experience in many countries before. This Dubai experience did not meet my expectations. There is no electronic display board in the bus to know the bus stops. There are also no big bus signage at the bus stops, due to which it was difficult to identify/locate a big bus stop and we missed quite a few busses. There are two routes of 1 hour 40 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes but hardly there is any overlapping between the routes. Duration between two stops were as high as 30 minutes. For example, in a blue line bus if one wanted to visit a particular attraction after travelling for 30 minutes to one hour, for coming back to the base again one has to travel for one hour to one and half hours. By doing this, as we have calculated, for visiting one attraction by blue bus would take minimum 3 hours of travelling in addition to time spent to see the attraction. Therefore, it doesn't become viable at all for a tourist to sit in a bus and spend so much time. Otherwise, the staff behaviour and co operation was as per their expected standard. Since we bought a Five day ticket, there were four attractions included with the tickets and most of them were just touch and go type.

Disappointing Dubai Hop On-Hop Off

I don’t recommend doing this hop on-hop off tour. I suggest tourists to just take a city tour where the bus/guide will drop you off near the places of interests instead of you getting off at certain stops which can be quite a walk from the attractions. Cab fare in Dubai is relatively cheap so you can even just do your own free and easy tour. The Lost Chamber Aquarium and Ambassador Lagoon which are part of the add-ons for the deluxe package is rip-off. It’s a very small aquarium which you can finish touring in less than 20 mins. Also, Dubai Frame was supposed to be a stop based on the app but the driver told us that their management advised them that it is no longer part of the stop.

Doing this will allow you to see all the key points of Dubai. It allows you to get off to explore and hop back on to continue your journey without having to worry about taxis. Alexander was a huge help directing us and answering all of our questions! He was fantabulous!!

A sight seeing must do for Dubai.

The tour took us to all of the best spots for sight seeing in Dubai. I took the tour toward the end of my visit but I would strongly recommend travelers to make the Big Bus tour the first thing they due when they get to Dubai.
