The meeting location for the tour was easy to find. The bus and guide arrived and left on time. The bus was large and comfortable with plenty of seating. Malahide Castle was charming with enough time allotted to see everything. The only disappointment was Howth. We only had 20 minutes tin Howth which was not enough time to see or do anything. The guide directed us to a Fish and Chips restaurant where they had take out available. When we asked to be seated, the restaurant said we could not be seated unless we had a reservation even though there were plenty of open tables.
(There was actually not enough time to sit and be served lunch anyway). It should be noted that the tour guide and the person he was training were given free lunch by the restaurant probably because they brought the tour group there. It was extremely cold that day and the tour guide said we could get our fish and chips and bring them back inside the bus to eat. However, when we went to the location where the bus dropped us off, the bus was not there so we were left holding our food in the cold. Although Dublin Bay and Howth are listed as part of the tour, unfortunately no time was spent there. Howth was a charming village/sea port and it would have been nice to eat lunch or shop in the shops, or walk along the water, or take photographs, but there was no time. This should be listed as a Malahide Castle tour only or they need to extend the time length of the tour.

We really loved Dublin. It is a great city, full of life and wonderful people. We had a full agenda, but we wanted to know a little more about the surroundings. Malahide Castle was very interesting, we would like to had more time in Howth. But the best was our tour guide, he made our trip very interesting, cheerful and enjoyable giving us interesting information. Thank you!

We loved this tour! Lisa was our tour guide and she was great! The castle was really neat and the guide there was great too! Very informative and their gift shop was top notch! Really happy we did this tour!

Daughter and I went on this tour to fill some time before our friends arrived. This is a good tour. The castle is neat and the grounds large, we even had a guided tour of the castle which is done very well. We went to Howth, and drove by beautiful scenery (sit on the left side of the bus - door side). Howth was nice, didn't spend much time there, about 30 min, most people got things to eat...we walked to the end of the area and looked out over the water. We would do this again...of course we had another gorgeous day so that always helps.

This was an average excursion. The Malahide Castle was disappointing and too much time was spent there. The seaside village of Howth was the highlight with too short of a visit; this was a beautiful village with fantastic fresh seafood. Our guide, though knowledgeable, was too interested in talking about himself. We would recommend a half day trip to Howth.

This was a pretty good tour for the money. Malahide castle is very interesting. Castle guide was good. Howth village was good too but we had a real bad day of weather. Shocker for Ireland I know, but if the weather was better, the tour would have been better. They gave you 45 min to visit the Howth before heading back to Dublin. I would have rather spent more time in Howth and less on the castle but thats just me. Bus was clean and on time with coming back to OConnell street. Tour place was pretty hard to find a small shop by the Burger King. If you like me and want to find any tour places and where to meet them, tell the cabby and they will take you right there. So helpful when you want to be on time.

I arrived to Ireland in the morning, and took this half day trip in the afternoon. We had a nice tour guide on the bus and at the castle. I thought it was a great way to start my trip.

Very knowledgeable and funny tour guides. A bit of Irish history and sea air, how can you go wrong? Malahide was an interesting bit of Irish history and Howth is a quaint and lovely town!

This was a great tour, Jerry (guide) was very knowledgeable, and Kevin (driver) played well into every shtick. One criticism I have is that I wish Jerry had explained where to go on the Castle grounds after the tour, as I think I missed out on a large part.
