Great value - Everyone was Lovely
Matthew_A, Mar 2023
This was a good deal for the price! The transportation to/from our destination went smoothly. The time spent in the actual large sand dunes you see in the pictures is pretty limited, though. We took camels out about 10min into the dunes and watched the sun set. Then rode the camels back out and were driven to the camp which is in a secluded section about 10min drive away from the dunes. You do not trek that far into the sand dunes - you are able to see the town the whole time which was different than what we expected. However, the accommodations were lovely, everyone was friendly, and overall everything ran smoothly. The tents have electricity, toilet, and running water. In general, we had a good time! But if we had to redo it we might do more research to find a camp that was in the dunes further.
Highly Recommend

A fantastic tour with a lot to see. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to see a lot of Morocco within two days. The drive takes your through beautiful scenery and the accommodations were great.
Action packed 2 days

2 Day/1 Night Pickup: Fes to Desert Camp Dropoff: Desert Camp to Marrakech. Private van. Sami was a great host and was always reachable to answer any questions. Hamza was our driver (& guide) and is AMAZING. He explained everything and was also kind to take pictures. My advice is to upgrade to the private van as we did. Allows you to make stops whenever you want. Drive times: Fes to Desert Camp ~8hrs Desert Camp to Marrakech ~12hrs Yes lots of time in the van driving. Plan on taking breaks for Lunch, snacks and pictures. Desert Camp: we had a tent with attached bathroom. Bring layers for night time. Music and bonfire after dinner were great. The people at the Camp were very nice. Bring 110-220 adapters for overnight charging. Bring bottle of water on camel ride Bring a camera with a strap for easy picture taking. You will need both hands to ride the camel most of the time. May not have time to put the iPhone in your pocket securely as you’re riding. Overall a wonderful trip which met my expectations.
Once in a lifetime opportunity

Wow! Thank you Sami and Hamza. Sami your communication and sheer desire to make sure we had a good time didn't go amiss. Hamza, thank you for driving us from Fes to Merzouga safely and showing us some awesome things along the way. He even said if we saw anything we wanted to stop for just let him know which was very personal and thoughtful. The desert was incredible and better than I could have ever imagined. It has been a personal dream of mine to watch the sunset from a sand dune in the Sahara for a while now. Thank you for making the trip incredible. Yes, there is lots of driving but it was through beautiful terrain and in a comfortable vehicle so it wasn't that bad, not as bad as I expected. Would do again and again and again!

Best thing to do in Morocco
Bernat_M, Mar 2023
As soon as we arrived there Sami called us to meet up the next morning at 8, the day after was amazing the experience is incredible, the silence and the colors in the desert makes no sense. The camp was absolutely crazy, very nice and confortable. After arriving there with the camel we did a fire with the beréberes and some music. Next morning after a good rest we met at 7 to see the sunrise and have breakfast and then back to fes. Recommended 100%.
Great Desert Experience
Emma_T, Feb 2023
What a trip! Hamza was a great driver and road trip guide, making us feel very comfortable and safe. He is very knowledgeable about the area and even gave us some great info about Moroccan history and culture. The van was relatively spacious and there no issues with the drive itself. We did not know exactly what to expect with the camp site but it exceeded expectations. The people working there were very welcoming and made sure to adapt to our desires. They even made sure to act as professional photographers for us. The camel ride was movie-like and the sand dunes are one of a kind. When we got back to the camp site we were shown our room which was definitely luxurious. Just make sure to bring your layers!! There was even a campfire set up after a yummy dinner, where we enjoyed a collaborative musical performance. We would definitely recommend this tour and would even do it again.
Once-in-lifetime experience! Had an absolutely great time both on the road and in the desert!
VincentGunawan, Feb 2023
We had an amazing time in the desert! The tour started with an 8 am pickup from our riad in Fes, and by 8.30 we were on the road. We used a van and there were 9 people in total, including our driver Mohammed. We had a couple of photo stops along the way and at around 2 /3 pm we stopped for lunch at a restaurant (MAD 100 /person), all you can eat Moroccan food (tajine, couscous, and a bunch of fruits). By 5 / 6 pm we were arriving at one of the desert camps. Once there, the bags were taken care of to our tent and we rode the camel to the dunes. Rode the camel for about 20 mins and afterward, we hiked to the top of the dunes for sunset, which was definitely gorgeous and worth the effort. During this experience, our tour guide, Idris, was genuine and very good with the camera, so he helped take most of the pictures as we all as accompanying us during our hike to the top. Once sunset is over, we rode the camel back to the tents for dinner and an amazing music show. Then, a great rest in the large/roomy glamping tent. Although the room was generally cold, there were enough blankets to keep us warm. The water in the ensuite bathroom was cold at first but was warm enough for a shower after a while. In the morning, we were asked to wake up by 8 am to watch the sunrise, and after a tiny walk/hike in the dunes, we were back in the main tent for some breakfast. By 9 / 10 am we were back on the road for Marakesh for another 10 /11 hours along with a restaurant stop (MAD 100 / person) and restroom breaks along the way. Overall, it's an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience and a great way to explore Morocco and meet its people! PS. the only cons was the missing Sandboarding.

Guaranteed Nice Experience
Jacob_S, Jan 2023
TLDR: I normally don’t write reviews but this tour was great. I would choose this tour over another if you want a guaranteed nice tour. From the second we got into the Fez airport Sami was waiting for us outside and drove us right to our hostel. The next morning we were picked up, drove out to the desert with Fouad and made some really cool stops along the way. Our desert tent was big and comfy. You have to buy your breakfast and lunch on the way out to the desert (was about €12 total for two people for breakfast and lunch both— we split lunch cause it was way too much for each of us to have our own so I’d recommend splitting w someone). Make sure to have cash on you- there’s an ATM right after you leave passport control in the airport. Great tour and would recommend.

Terrible organization but good experience
Giuliana_C, Jan 2023
Nothing of what was on the package description was real: The tend was not luxury at all, shared it with other people and the bathroom was outside (also shared with all the travellers). The transport was very uncomfortable (10 hours per way), no guide at all despite we did choose it in Italian. The driver didn’t speak any language rather than Arabic. We thought it was going to be with max 9 people as advertised but we were travelling at least with 35 people. No communication at all until the day before the travel when Sami basically forced us to share a tent with someone else, start time kept changing and we didn’t even make it to sunset leaving us only 15 minutes on the camels instead of 1 hour as it was dark. Sami has been very rude to us during the trip and kept making excuse as the price paid was to low in order to have a luxury experience when he actually was advertising that on the website. Once arrived we enjoyed every second of it, the guys welcoming you there are great but the tour operator has nothing to do with it. The most unorganised and greedy company we’ve ever seen, a proper scam! You are left guessing what is going to happen as there is no communication at all during the trip. Most of the other people on the group had the same issues. You can have the same experience going by yourself or booking via your Rihad.

matteo_o, Jan 2023
good organization and nice experience but travel program does not match what you booked(luxury) -no language difference -absence of guides explaining -very cold camping tents with shared bathroom - 10 hours round trip and 10 hours return by mini-van of 10-12 passengers
Response from Host, Jan 2023

The trip was amazing, thanks for everything to Sami! You must go on this trip if you are in Marocco.
Magnificent, I think that it was extremely good, beautiful and impressive.
lucy_o, Dec 2022
It was the most beautiful part of my visit to Morroco. I enjoyed every second. All was perfectly organised. The staff didn't miss any detail to makes enjoy the experience. They were very kind. Hasan our guide is a good driver. Thank you, I will do it again.
Great experience
GABRIEL_S, Dec 2022
You have to keep in mind that it takes 10 hours one way and 10 hours back, but once you get there you realize it's worth it. It has been a very good experience, the only negative point was that they told me that I was going to be alone in a tent to sleep, but because they gathered too many people on other excursions, I ended up sharing the tent with others 3 people.
You get what you pay for....
VictorManuel_d, Dec 2022
You get what you pay for. The experience itself is beautiful and completely worth it, the company isn't the best organized which lead to us arriving to the dunes much later than we would have liked. Also, the driver won't speak a word to you in the entire drive, mostly because they probably don't speak your language. But they're nice guys. You wont be staying inside the dunes, you'll got for a short camel ride in the dunes and then go to the camp next to the dunes.

First of all what immaculate team work by the tour and all participants! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, not to mention the beautiful scenery and great hospitality of Mobarak and his camp team! There was private shower and toilet for each tent. The food was one of the best we had during our while stay in Morocco! The music and the culture was warm and as welcoming as one could imagine! We appreciate the amazing service and great memories! Thank you guys! See you soon, inchallah!

Highly Recommended Desert Tour
Gabriel_T, Oct 2022
My wife and I had an adventure of a lifetime with Seme and Omar (our driver). The dunes in Merzouga were simply breathtaking, and the stay in the desert with the Berber music by the campfire was an unforgettable experience! Seme even went the extra mile the next day by offering to show us the sights around Fes, and even brought us to the airport! Thank you so much Seme and team, we look forward to our next trip to Morocco, and we hope to be able to book with you guys again!
