Private Tour: Full-Day Easter Island Highlights

We were on a tight timeline and this seemed the simplelest way to see the essentials of Easter island and get a feel for the history and culture. Our guide Tacorau? Was enthusiastic and pleasant and we saw all the main sites, perhaps a little rushed at the oronga information centre. Nevertheless we enjoyed the experience.

Our guide Toki was excellent! Patience and knowledgeable. Toki also knows where you can get good pictures! The tour itself was awesome. Just to be able to see the Moai was spectacular!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Sebastian as our guide for the day. We were able to enjoy so much of your wonderful island and all the history because of him. He is such a great spokesperson for the people of Easter Island. We were able to enjoy all the sites in uncrowded situations as he timed everything perfectly.

The tour was incredible! A large part of that was due to our guide, Sebastian. He wove an intricate story about the history of the island, full of details and interesting tidbits. He dispelled internet myths, explained theories about how moai were moved, showed us pics on his kindle, and took fantastic photos of us! I can not exaggerate how much he added to the experience. The sites were carefully chosen to tie the stories of Easter Island into a cohesive history. We were given ample time to eat lunch. The tour lasted from 9 until 5. We really enjoyed the personal feel of the private tour. We could both hear easily, which would have been difficult with more people as it was quite windy. We asked all our questions, had photos taken in a timely manner, and made restroom stops when we wanted. It was well worth the money paid. We would recommend this tour to anyone! Bring a rain coat...an umbrella may not hold up against the wind!

This was truly the best of the many tours that we. Our guide Tokelau was bright, energetic, and extremely knowledgeable. He showed that he cared about the experience that we were having. By the end of the day we were not just tour guide and tourists, we were friends.

Sebastian enthusiastically shared the rich history of Rapa Nui the island and the people as he took us to the key sites around the island. It was personal for him and he made the information come alive for us. I highly recommend this tour and Sebastian in particular as a guide.

My family and I had a fantastic day on this tour. Sebastian provided tremendous local insight into so many aspects of Rapa Nui life and geography both past and present.
