Fantastic cooking class where we learnt and made new and exciting food. Our instructor Ruby was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us new things about Vietnamese food and their lifestyle. Would recommend to any foodies!

Amazing experience with Ruby and other travellers ! Class was informative and superb !! Market visit was amazing too. Boeing vegetarian, the class instructor was careful about hygiene and cooked different dishes for both veg and non-veg.

I have not done cooking classes before and so glad i choose this one as our first. Market visit was fun and the cooking classes were actually hands on and I learned some stuff that I will be able to take home and use in my real life. I think the evening class would be the most fun. I also would suggest that since eating does not start till hours after the start that i would come hungry but not starving.

Amazing class. The beginning pick up was a little hectic but the market tour and cooking lesson itself were great. Dana was so friendly and funny and had everyone involved and working together. She gave so many little details into Vietnamese life. 10/10 I would definitely recommend

Would highly recommend this class when in Hanoi! The tour of the market and identifying foods we were seeing was so helpful along with the great experience cooking. Dana was an amazing instructor! She is knowledgeable, kind, and very funny. So glad we booked!

Incredible experience with Mango on our small group cooking class. The trip to the market was a highlight for us! Seeing all the fresh produce and experiencing it with a local guide made it unforgettable. Hanoi rain changed our plans and we're extremely happy for it because we would've missed the gem that is Rose Kitchen! After meeting our instructor Ruby and getting introduced to the day's menu, we went shopping for ingredients on the market and, after a short drive, we started cooking. Great facilities, high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, easy-to-follow instructions - everything one could ask for in a cooking experience. Don't wait for a downpour, book a class and learn how to prepare the essentials and the trickier classics of Vietnamese cuisine!

Great time cooking and learning about Vietnamese cuisine

I had a fantastic time all round! It was great to follow things from buying food at the market to cooking it for a delicious meal (we had banana flower salad, fried spring rolls, beef pho and a lotus seed dessert). Our chef, Dana, was full of interesting information about Vietnamese ingredients and cooking and was a lot of fun to cook with! Organisationally, it was all very smooth. Pickup was easily arranged through WhatsApp and we were kept busy the whole time either cooking, eating or having the occasional lemongrass iced tea break. All in all, a lovely afternoon and evening, thanks Dana and the rest of the team!

Great experience, wonderful vibe! But go meatless

Hung and Flora were so nice teachers, you learn a lot about Vietnam while buying vegetables at the local market. Beautiful kitchen, nice atmosphere. If the group vibes it’s a perfect afternoon believe me! However I would recommend you to go meatless/vegan, otherwise you will see shrimps on the salad at the end which they buy earlier with you on the market alive and let them suffocate slowly in a plastic bag without water. Just an example. But apart from that I had a lot of fun in my class, learned a lot and even got the recipe of the dish we cooked together. Do it 😇

Booked last minute for the same day, as we had a tour moved & it was so much fun & definitely a trip highlight. Meal is delicious & you will learn about traditional Vietnamese ingredients & preparation. They were able to pick us up at our Airbnb which was appreciated. The Rose Kitchen location is a very relaxing & inviting space.
