We had the best guide, saw also some hidden parts of the city and received information in an amusing way. Great way of sightseeing, also if you do not have much time. Would definitely go again!

Wow, driving in Hanoi is wild but so fun! It was great perspective being in an open roofed Jeep to be able to see everything going on. Annie and Orange were our tour guides and they were very friendly and authentic. This tour was more than just a stop at touristy places. We actually got a feeling for the people, culture, and way of life. Great tour guides and great tour!

What a great way to discover Hanoi! Sitting on the Jeep gets you an elevated perspective on the streets and monuments of the capital city. Our guide Annie was excellent: well-organized, insightful and extremely funny! I loved my experience.

This is a great way of seeing Hanoi. It’s fun, informative and you see the regular tourist attractions as well as some locations which are less tourist oriented. Our guide Leo was so fun and friendly, he tells some good jokes too. Thanks Leo, we had fun with you and the driver :)

We started the day with a delicious sampling of food although portions were rather large for samplings! Seeing the city by jeep was great providing a very relaxed but open-air experience. Our guide was extremely friendly and great source of information!

Best way to experience a mix of Hanoi’s famous and lesser known sights

My wife and I booked this as a bit of an intro to the city with limited time there before moving on to Ha Long. Seeing the Jeep arrive was just as fun as you’d expect, as it was to be transported around it all day. Military officials even give a salute as it passes here and there! Our tour group consisted of us and two others. Mai, our guide, was full of enthusiasm and offered us super vivid and incredibly interesting insight into the city’s past, present and future. Her style was very friendly and conversational, which worked brilliantly as we asked questions on both the sights and other aspects of life in the city. The food included was also very good, with hearty portions (have a small breakfast!) showcasing some highlights of local cuisine. I would 100% recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn about the city in a fun and engaging way. Thanks to Mai and our driver too for a memorable experience at the start of our holiday in Vietnam.

I only had one day in Hanoi and solo so wanted a fun half day experience that was a bit different. Hanoi Backstreet Tours did a great job, thank you. Jeep, food, market, city and especially our guide and driver made the trip.

The Hanoi Jeep tour was brilliant from start to finish. Our tour guide Suzie is really friendly and knowledgeable and our driver is awesome! The food we tried was delicious and I don't think I would have seen some of the sights we saw if I had travelled alone. My favourite part of the tour was the backstreets where we visited a wet market, a residential home, and a wholesale business selling mung bean cakes (we were given one to try) Would highly recommend!

Excellent tour! Our guid Tam was great! Very knowledgeable and engaged everyone in a very friendly way. Started with lunch (tasy local dishes) at an intersting place. Got to see the "real Hanoi". Had a beer very close to a passing train on Train Street. Great experience travelling round in jeep in the "mad" Hanoian traffic!! Woukd highly recommended this tour especially with Tam as the guide!.

Ryley, our guide, is fantastic. She brought to life what's happening in and around Hanoi. Her knowledge of history, and the various areas of Hanoi were very enlightening. The tour itself is well designed. We feel we saw areas of Hanoi we would have never seen on the typical tourist tour. We saw the black market area, the area were the poorest people live, and a wet market where the local go daily in the early morning for their fresh foods. Thank you Hanoi Back Street Tours, and Ryley for providing an experience we will long remember!!

This was a fun tour and great way to see greater Hanoi - so much more than just the old quarter. Our guide, Tam, was excellent. He showed us around Hanoi, from the tranquil suburbs to the bustle of the city. I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Hanoi.

The overall experience was excellent and fun. Our guide was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and shared the jokes & banter within the group. The trip wasn't too heavy on the culture but showed us what we wanted to see. The food and drink was very good also. Rennee & Andrew the Aussie couple who made up the group with us three English lads were great fun too. All in all an excellent afternoon. Thanks to all and we forgive our driver for thinking we were about 70 - we had hard paper rounds as kids!!

We had a fun afternoon being driven around in the jeep. We had hoped for a bit more of a history lesson from our guide, but just seeing the city was nice too. The food they provided at the start was delicious and it was fun to learn more about Vietnamese food.
