What To Expect

Join this Hoi An food tour to discover what happens when the sun sets—a great way to cool off and enjoy all of the delicacies Vietnam has to offer. 

Your tour begins as you walk through local cafes, food vendors, markets, restaurants, etc. By the end of your tour, you are sure to be satisfied. 

Firstly, you will visit a local bakery famous for their bahn mi, a Vietnamese sandwich. They have been using the freshest ingredients to make these scrumptious sandwiches for decades and it is no wonder that they are famous! 

Moving on from one local delicacy to another, you will join locals at a quaint local spot to try the tasty BBQ pork rolled in rice paper. This is served with a typical soy dipping sauce. This is known to most locals as the highlight of the food scene in Hoi An.

Our food tour of Hoi An continues into the atmospheric heart of Vietnamese cuisine as we head straight for some favourite local eating spots. Your knowledgeable local guide will walk you through the colourful array of ingredients, explain to you the most popular dishes in Hoi An and the significance of these foods to the traditional culture of central Vietnam.

Then, you'll follow your guide to one of their favorite restaurants in Hoi An for some specialties: cao lau noodles with pork...

After some dumplings,you are in for another round of delicacies as you will arrive at a street vendor famous for chicken rice. But be sure to save some space for dessert and a local beer.

Afterward, you will end the tour at a local cafe in an iconic location. Have some Vietnamese coffee or tea and take in the scenery while reflecting on everything you ate during the tour!

Great authentic street food!

Nam was our guide and he took us to many local places we would never had tried on our own. The food was authentic and Nam was very knowledgable and friendly he looked after us very well. Would highly recommend this tour to try what you normally wouldn’t!!!

Thank you Vam for an amazing experience. This food tour was awesome, Vam choose places based on what food we have already tried. He took us through less touristy local shops and he knew the owners and the family history of most of the places we ate. He explained how the food was prepared which gave us a much better feel of the Hoi An culture. He was also funny, easy to talk with, and spoke English very well and was easy to understand. All around wonderful experience and we at so much food, twice as much as we’ve gotten on other food tours in SE Asia.

We made a streetfood-Tour in Hoi An and it was really nice. The guide knew a lot about the food and his English was very good as well. We were only four people which made it even a better experience. The price we paid was more than fair!

An excellent way to see parts of Hoi An you probably wouldn't wander into on your own visiting a number of family run food businesses as well as sampling a wide range of local food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to expand information in response to questions. Great small group tour. Warning - have a small lunch as you certainly get your monies worth in terms of food quantity!

After having had such a great food tour experience in Ho Chi Minh, I was expecting something similar from a place that is known for its food. Unfortunately, it was a totally different experience. The guide wasn't really engaging there was a lot of awkward silences between the 3 of us on the tour. i felt i could have done the tour on my own without a guide and had a better experience. He might have been having an off day, but there are other guide options that i would explore before recommending this one.

we had a great night on this food tour - we visited 6 or 7 food outlets around HOI AN old town - our guide was informative & took us to several areas we hadn't ventured. the other guests made for a fun experience & would definitely recommend. - item to note - no need to buy "old town" entry ticket before the tour.

the bahn mi on this tour is fantastic. Best I've ever had. You get to see and eat a few things you might not otherwise depending on how many of these you do. Hoi An is a fantastic place.

Pretty basic tour - not a huge amount that you couldn't learn for yourself with the internet. Probably only one of the dishes was particularly impressive (the banh mi). Had better street food walking around ourselves. Prob a good intro for the less adventurous.

The 4 of us had a great time, visited places and tasted food we would not otherwise have tried. From restaurants to a food stall in an alley to the food market. All great food and great experience and understanding of Vietnamese food.

Our guide Bong was fantastic- since I do not eat meat she made sure I was give the appropriate food and it was delicious- the baguette place was my favorite - the dumpling and Vietnamese pizza was interesting- then we went to the market and eat the pancakes which as nice and filling - then chicken and rice was good and we finished with a sweet and beer - yummy !!!!!
