Max out the adrenaline (and the fun) during this full-day adventure combining a white-water rafting trip and zipline excursion. Receive a morning pickup from your hotel in the La Fortuna area, after which you transfer to your first activity of the day, featuring an exciting zipline adventure through the rain forest canopy.
Strap into your harness and don a helmet as your instructors explain the basics of controlling your speed on the park’s ziplines. Then prepare for fun (and perhaps some adrenaline too) as you fly at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour (70 kilometers per hour) amidst the rain forest treetops like a jungle bird, taking advantage of seven of the zipline course’s best rides. One ride requires a climb up a 54-foot (18-meter) high tower followed by 360-foot (120-meter) ride over a scenic canyon. Another zipline features more than 3,200 feet (980 meters) of cable above La Fortuna Waterfall, making it the longest in the entire park.
After your zipline adventure, hop aboard the trip’s 4x4 jeep and enjoy an included fruit snack as you head to the Balsa River. When you arrive at the white-water rafting spot, put on your gear and get an introduction to safe paddling and rafting commands from your guides. Then climb into your raft and prepare to get wet along the Class II and III rapids of this fast-moving waterway. You might even scout sloths, toucans, and monkeys in the surrounding jungle, and have time to spare for a refreshing swim.
When the rafting trip is done, head to the day’s included lunch spot, where you dig into a typical Costa Rican-style meal served at a traditional country estate. Following lunch, receive a ride back to your hotel in La Fortuna, to be dropped off in late afternoon.

What a great adventure!!

Every part about this excursion is great!! I highly encourage those who are looking for some adventure to do this excursion.
The zipline tour was absolutely amazing. I have a fear of heights so I was pretty nervous but the instructor was completely understanding and helped me get over my fear. The zip lining itself was surreal and majestic. The rafting was so much fun!! We saw some animals (sloth, iguanas). Totally recommend this combo tour!! The lunch was also really tasty.
A mother daughter trip to Costa Rica. A day with zip lining and WWR. Wave Adventures is a very professional outfitter. Our transfers were in time and the drivers great. In both our outings the drivers pulled over to show us something cool on the side of the road. A sloth and an owl. Our guide for Zip Lining was Fabian 2. I give him a A+. He did everything right as far as making us feel safe as well as being a fun easy person to spend the morning with. Our guide for our Kayak trip was Carlos and he was awesome also. He was professional, thorough and personable. On the river Rovell was in charge. Again, professional and fun.the river was just right for the two of us and the sights along the way (sloths, iguanas, owls and iguanas). The ohitos from the river were worth the price. We also enjoyed the lunch, the food was incredible and the coffee and sugar cane demonstrations. Wave Expeditions is a well run machine. Was a great day and worth every penny.
I booked this combo tour through Viator for my last day in La Fortuna, based on the reviews. I'm in my 50's and had never tried either activity and decided this might be my last chance to do so. When I saw that first tower on the zip lining portion, I thought I'd be the one chicken in the group to back out. Nope. I did both and I am so happy I did! The waterfall along the cable was incredible. There were other special treats & touches along the way, which I won't spoil for you. Not to mention an authentic, organic, home cooked meal on a farm to end your day. You won't be disappointed.
We have gone on a lot of tours and this was probably the best one we have ever taken! The guides at both the zipline and the rafting were very personable, going out of their ways to make it a great time for us. Fabion at the zipline was great. Flaco/Gerald at the river was so good! He went way out of his way to make it fun. Considering everything that is included in this tour (ziplining, rafting, lunch, and great cultural surprises) it is a great value for your time and money!
Our family had a wonderful time with this activity. The instructions for zip lining were very detailed, and our group was very comfortable with the orientation. The zip lining was fun, but we were somewhat disappointed since there was no zip line over the falls as indicated in the description. The rappelling was an added treat and fun. The most fun and exciting was the rafting with our guide Moises. He was a very capable and reassuring guide who easily steered us over and around rocks, and our adult kids thought this was the highlight of our trip.
Diaz was great. Very engaging with adults and children alike. The kids loved him. Very safe. lots of fun! the sugar cane presentation at the end was a real nice addition. The costa Ricans are wonderful people who are very proud of their country, it is worth every moment to spend talking to them and learning how they live.
Amazing views ziplining! Pablo and Ronaldo were great guides, made us feel safe and were very entertaining throughout the day. Rafting trip was even better, a lot of fun and excitement on the river, even good for kids. We were in great hands with Carlos, both as a rafting captain and tour guide down the river, pointing out Sloths, birds and giving interesting information about Costa Rica and the wildlife. Diaz was an awesome tour guide on the bus ride, teaching us a lot about Costa Rica. Wave Expedition provided an amazing end to end experience, with transportation, fresh fruit break on the river, post rafting beers and towels and capped off with a trip to a local farm with great coffee and food. Then a very cool and tasty sugar cane demonstration : overall 10/10 day!
So much fun. Guides were all awesome especially Jeffery and Arcino the zip lines and Marcos was an amazing river guide. He was so knowledgeable and just st a beautiful person. River was amazing. Our faces hurt from laughing and smiling. Did not receive my link to the pictures I paid for on the zip lines. Will have to dispute this charge on my credit card.
