Meet your private guide at the Sand Harbor visitor center in the Nevada state park a little before your departure time. The visitor center is just 15 minutes from South Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe.
Your 1-hour private sleigh ride starts at the time you picked for departure. Your group loads into an antique European sleigh with cozy blankets on hand in case the weather outside is chilly. The sleigh has wheels as well, so you can continue to ride even if there’s a lack of snow.
As you make your way around San Harbor, take in Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Mountains, and the surrounding pine-tree forests. Your guide tells tales of the history of the area as he points out local landmarks. If you bring a camera, you can ask your guide to snap a picture of your group in the sleigh with the stunning lake in the background.
Afterward, get dropped back off at the visitor center with a souvenir postcard to take home with you. From here, you can pay a visit the visitor center, or make plans for the rest of the day.
Please note: All rides are subject to change due to extreme weather conditions.
