What To Expect

This private, full-day tour of the Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel a little before 9a.m. Get comfortable as you begin your ride in your air-conditioned minivan to a traditional village and oil cooperative.

Continue up the mountain area with a camel ride, and take in stunning scenic views as you go. Afterward, your guide drives you up to Imlil Valley where you can rest on a terrace to enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea and a piece of cake. Your guide asks you a few options for the rest of the day, including how long of a walk you’d like to take and if you’d prefer to drive, walk, or ride a mule to your next stop.

Once you’ve decided, set out for Ait Souka Village. At the village, follow your guide to the home of a Berber family, and learn about their culture and way of life before heading over to Moulay Brahim near the Asni Valley.

Your day ends with a quiet drive back to Marrakech. Get dropped back off at your hotel when you reach the city. Tours end at different times depending on the options you choose while in the Imlil Valley.

Brilliant Marrakech day Tour.
Cherylee_B, Mar 2023
The whole trip was excellent as we are first timers in Morocco. Also, we have a Brilliant tour guide-Mohammed. (He explained brief details about a certain spot and he also takes pictures and reel videos very well). We enjoy all the spots we have been and the people are nice and welcoming.

Beautiful Views

This was a beautiful trip into the Atlas mountains and loved the stop to see how Argon Oil is made. I would advise there is a hike up to waterfall that some may find difficult if not able walk over 1.5 miles Mery was very good guide.

Highlight of our holiday!
JessicaH, Mar 2023
We had a brilliant time on this day trip from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains. The scenery is beautiful, absolutely worth the visit. We were collected from our outside our hotel and taken to the various destinations on the itinerary. We were lead by our guide Lahcen who is a local to the atlas mountain area - he was very hospitable and couldn’t do enough for our group.
Action-packed day with incredible views! A must!

We had a wonderful day out thank you to the lovely Abdul for being our driver and guide and giving us a truly memorable experience. We loved our traditional Berber breakfast and camel (dromedary) ride, and the views as we headed further up into the mountains were incredible. Thank you to Mustapha for our guided hike up to the waterfalls. Charming lad who made it fun! A great trip overall, would definitely recommend
Really good for one day trip.

Really need to see it if you have one free day. Views were ok. Waterfall isn't really big. If you are looking for hiking or outsanding views and also have lot of time I think u got to look for something else. Food was delicious.
We enjoyed this trip and the Mountain View’s!
Charles_W, Mar 2023
This was a very good tour if you want to experience more than the frenzy of Marakech (which is also amazing!). We would travel with Lahcen again to the mountain villages where he grew up! Loved the Atlas Mountains. And Holy Cow was our driver good !!
Great way to spend a day

We had a great time exploring Atlas mountains near Marrakech. Lahcen is very attentive and informative guide. We'd definitely do this again!
Highly recommended tour!

Amazing tour start to finish! We opted for a private tour as we didn’t want to go Camel riding. Kamal, our driver picked us from our Riad on time. He took us to several spots enroute to the Atlas Mountains including the Berber Market which we were lucky to experience as it’s not a daily market. He gave us a well informed description of each site we stopped at and was super friendly, attentive and even bought us some hot bread which we didn’t expect. He pointed out certain areas / trees / villages etc whilst on our drive to the mountains giving a description of each one . Despite the weekend traffic , he made sure we got back to our Riad in decent time. Mohammed Larbi was our tour guide for the Atlas Mountains and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more nicer! He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. We felt completely at ease with him and he made sure we managed to hike safely in areas that were slightly more tricky to navigate . He took some wonderful pictures of us and he was really grateful for our visit. This is a highly recommended tour especially if you are lucky to have Kamal and Larbi as your guides !

Trip to maintains

Good day out, guide was most attentive and helpful since we struggled with some parts of the walk. Very much appreciated being picked up at our hotel which was outside marrakech.
Stunning nature on a very well-organised excusion
Sarah_W, Mar 2023
The trip was the highlight of the holiday. We don't normally go on excursions, but the thousands of reviews persuaded me to try this one as we wanted to get a glimpse of the landscapes and life outside Marrakesh. We weren't disappointed. The trip was very well-organised, with Ismail our local guide messaging me the night before to confirm the pick-up time, and arriving early the next morning. Although we enjoyed every aspect of the trip, and the day flew by, the morning camel ride was our personal highlight. It was a good 20 minutes with such stunning views, and with the little baby camels running alongside us! The Berber breakfast was very welcome and tasty, and lunch was good. Everything was very well-organised, and excellent value for money. If I had to find a pointer for improvement, then I would have like to have some opportunities to ask questions - as I had a lot - but it was nice to have a taste of Berber culture. But overall, I'd definately recommend this trip!
Visit to Atlas Mountains from Marrakech
Malcolm_H, Mar 2023
No guide on the bus just the driver who remained silent throughout the drive to the mountains and back. The local guide was excellent who took us through the main sites of the Atlas Mountains. The included lunch was very good which was served after the meal. Just be aware that the walk is quite challenging and you have to be fairly fit to attempt it

This was an enjoyable and interesting day visiting the Berber villages on the Atlas mountains. I met our friendly driver Omar at an agreed location in Marrakech (it was not possible to drive to my hotel) at 9.30 and on the outskirts of Marrakech we collected another group of three, so our party was small. The camel ride was the first stop, for maybe 20 mins, which was probably the most 'touristy' part of the experience. From there we continued on up towards the mountains, stopping at various locations, where local work practices could be observed and breakfast provided. The scenery is beautiful and we were taken on a hike and tour of the area and its old settlements by Hussain who brought us on a lovely trek through the local villages for an hour and a half, before we finished with a wonderful lunch. We also visited Hussain's home and shared some tea with him and met his family, which made the experience more personal. There are stops at some places where you can buy local products but there is was never any feeling of obligation to purchase. Our guide Hussain was good-humoured, laid-back and enthusiastic with excellent English. The locations are very photogenic and it is a nice relaxing break from the mayhem of Marrakech. Overall a very good tour that would encourage you to see more of this place and what is on offer outside Marrakech. We got back to Marrakech around 5pm. Appropriate footwear needed, decent runners will do, and don't forget the suncream! Water is provided along the way so the whole thing is well organised and executed. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Amazing day, would recommend to everyone. The driver and especially the guide Mustafa were excellent. Camel ride was great fun followed by mint tea before moving on to the villages and mountains. Myself and my family have such lovely memories thanks to them. Thank you again Mustafa for an excellent experience 👏
A great tour of the Atlas Mountains and lifestyle of the Berber people.

My husband and I spent a wonderful day exploring the Atlas mountains yesterday. Our guide Lahcen was brilliant, very knowledgeable and patient with the whole group and very polite and courteous. He gave us a lot of information about the way of life of the local people and answered all questions we had. We enjoyed our walk to the waterfall in the lovely weather. At the end of the trip we had an opportunity to ride camels dressed in traditional robes and turbans, which was great fun! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend it to everybody.
