I have done several Segway tours in many countries, but this one was the best of all. Salvatore Pellino was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about Naples, its history and its culture. He took some great pictures of us on his cell phone and e-mail them to us. This was a food tasting Segway tour and we were impressed with the coffee, the pastries, the typical street food of Naples and of course, the famous pizza! I highly recommend this tour! People on cruises in the port for the day note that the departure point of this tour is within walking distance of the ship terminal...easy.
This was the highlight of our trip - the Segways in Naples. Our group of three and Elena our tour guide was amazing! We had a quick practice on the Segways before we began the tour.
She took us to places we hadn't been, half way we stopped for a pastry. We all loved this tour and were disappointed when we stopped it was so much fun. Cannot wait to do it again.
We did the 1.5 hour tour and had a lovely trip around Naples sampling some great local food. It was very enjoyable and our guide was very knowledgeable, even showing us some hidden gems off the tourist track. We had an 11.30 tour which was great as we didn't need lunch afterwards as we were full from the tour. We've done Segway tours in a number of cities, the Segways are newer, lighter and more responsive models and it was a good way to take Segway tours up a notch. It is very easy to find the starting point once you know how to navigate the city which wasn't us!. Linea 1 on the metro to Toledo and then you have to walk as the metro doesn't go down that far. You can also go to Municipo and walk past Castello Nuevo which may even be quicker but you have options.
Would highly recommend and a great way to familiarise yourself with the layout and landmarks. Food was lovely, a mix of savory and sweet.
After spending four nights in Sorrento, we had an extra day in Naples to explore before heading back to California. While we didn't have a lot of time before our flight the next morning, we were hoping to see as much of the city as we could. The 90 min Naples Segway tour was perfect as it highlighted many historic landmarks in Naples. Starting from Castel dell'Ovo we navigated our way through Chiaia Street, Toledo Street, Maschio Angioino Castle and Plebiscito Square. We even made a Sfogliatella stop along the way at a well known pastry shop and tried the crunchy and baked versions preferred the crunchy version. Our guide, Elena, was friendly, knowledgable, and super helpful. Not only did she take great pictures for us including a boomerang throughout the tour, she also provided a few restaurant recommendations as well. I would highly recommend this tour during your next trip to Naples!
