What To Expect

Meet your guide near Rajiv Chowk Metro Station in central Delhi, and set off to discover the Indian capital’s street food.

Delve into bustling Old Delhi, and hear about the tastes and traditions of its snacks, and the history of the walled city. Stop at different stands to try local staples: the foods you that will amount to dinner, snacks and drinks, so come with an appetite!

Sample specialties like soft paratha flatbreads and spiced aloo chaat potatoes, and learn about their historical roots. Along with savory goodies, taste some sweet specialties. Try some super-sweet, deep-fried jalebis, sip on a lassi (frothy, yogurt drink) and savor local rice pudding and bread-and-butter pudding.

Most food is vegetarian, but if you’re a meat-eater, opt to taste some delicious Indian-style fried chicken. Vegetarians, worry not: at this point, you’re free to explore the surrounding Matia Mahal neighbourhood.

Observe local life and Delhi’s illuminated landmarks, and hop between the food hotspots by foot and cycle rickshaw. On route, view the imposing Jama Masjid mosque and explore Asia’s biggest spice bazaar.

Fantastic, half day tour

My most unexpected, enjoyable tour. It’s full on for four hours. Be hungry! The tour guide Sam was knowledgeable friendly, funny, generous and helpful. The area where we went, was amazing to see. Literally complete chaos, I would never have the confidence to go to the cool places he had sourced. A definite tour to do!

Yummy tour of Old Delhi. It can be a bit intimidating navigating the area, especially when it comes to street food. Sam was amazing at guiding us around, very accommodating and the food was obviously really good. I have also enjoyed all the little tidbits of history and culture. Thank you for a great experience!

Good, but be prepared to share food

Overall nice tour, with good food. However, I felt sharing food with people you do not know was not very hiegenic in some cases (e.g. drinking out of same cup, or using same bowl and spoon with multiple people).

Easy and efficient way to see Old Delhi

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Stanley. Our favorite part was interacting with the shop vendors who were happy to see us and kindly let us take their picture as they made our food. Stanley and his company have built relationships with the vendors who have a good reputation for cleanliness and have been around for generations. It was nice that we didn’t have to barter for the prices of food or transportation. Stanley took care of all of that for us. The food was delicious and introduced me to some of my favorite food I’ve tried so far in Delhi. Overall, I’d highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was friendly enough. The food was tasty interesting locations visited and nobody fell ill. However, given that we paid around 65 USD for a street food tour in Dehli, we were given VERY LITTLE FOOD! We were often given small portion to share between 4 of us at each food point, which the guide also shared. It was very disappointing. Not good value for money at all. To add, when offered a meat kebab which I was unable to eat no alternative was suggested, so I missed out on a meal.

Chandi Chowk is probably the most intense pocket of Delhi, old or new, and Veejay took us on an unforgettable tour de mouth. Curry chilli spice blow your head off rip your heart out delicious food. All whilst riding an Indian rollercoaster. What’s not to love?

We were met at a very convenient location and our guide was there early. We had a great tour around Chandri Chowk, which was an amazing place but not somewhere I would have felt safe visiting at night without a guide. We sampled lots of food and everything was explained to us. Fantastic experience. Not to be missed

Fantastic tour with amazing tour guides. We had Stanley & Sam for a group of 9. They were really knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The food stops were some of the best food we’ve had in Delhi. They were also extremely good at getting lingering people (potential pickpockets) to move along. We all felt safe & enjoyed our time with them.

Really loved this tour! It was a great intro to both old dehli and the food - to be honest there is no way I would have been able to navigate old dehli without our guide. All the food was amazing and our guide was knowledgeable and had hand sanitizer, wipes, and planned bathroom stops. Loved that there was some cultural stops/ info sprinkled into the tour, the company also has a great mission. No dehli belly here :)

Sanju (Sam) was a great guide. He was patient and informative. He showed us great spots for food. He explained all the different types of food. It was a little confusing finding him near the train station but once we did it all worked out.

Had a great time on the tour on my first day in Delhi. The guide took us to all the best street food stalls in Old Delhi, whilst showing us some monuments on the way. The food was very delicious and safe. Great way to meet people too. Highly recommend!
