We gathered in the retail shop area waiting to be seated. We were then called in the order of when we booked. I thought that was very fair and much better than a free-for-all. The instructor was funny and very entertaining. we heard about some of the history of creole and cajun cooking. Our menu consisted of gumbo, red beans and rice, pecan pie and pralines. Delicious, all. Worth the money, IMO.

From the start the people involved made us feel at home. The food was unbelievable and we can't wait to try it at home. I just wish we could have taken more classes as this was one of the highlights of our trip.

We truly enjoyed the cooking class. The class was very knowledgeable about what spices to use and not use. The gumbo was delicious. We liked that we could purchase the spice, cookbooks, and etc and have them package and mailed . We would take the class again.

This was so much fun! I booked the demo class for me and my parents and I think it was their favorite part of the trip. Brandon, our chef instructor, was entertaining and knowledgeable. I knew we picked the right activity when he started telling stories about his grandmother (both of my parents were very close to theirs, my mom’s raised her). We felt like we were simultaneously in someone’s home kitchen while also learning some things about traditional New Orleans and Louisiana cuisine. I would definitely love to come back for a hands on demo after having had this experience.
