Guided history tour of Lafayette Cemetery and the Garden District
John was my guide and I was the only person signed up for the 1:00 pm. My experience was obviously much more personal as I got to ask all the questions I wanted and go at a slower/faster pace. He was incredible knowledgable and loves what he does. Really enjoyed this, learned SO much!
Excellent small tour – great pace and extensive information

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery #1 and found it to be excellent value for price. Sarah, our guide, is very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information about both locations and New Orleans in general. Sarah asked if we had questions or special interests and made sure to include specific points that participants mentioned as interests. She also checked to make sure the walking distance/speed was fine and if we needed to stop for water – much appreciated on a hot day. We also appreciated her great sense of humor. At the end of the tour, Sarah was open to answering questions and making ‘local’ recommendations. (Not sure what the normal tour size is, but we had four people which made it even better.) I highly recommend this tour and Sarah in particular.
Karen was a great tour guide and told us lots of interesting things about the area. It was a great of 4 which was good being so small and intimate. I would definitely recommend Tours by Steven however suggest you book direct and not via Viator who have the worst customer service and keep sending us conflicting information for all our tours. Book direct with Tours by Steven for sure.
John with Stevens Tours was so knowledgeable and was truly a great tour guide. If you are thinking about a tour you must pick Stevens Tours. Looking around at all the other guides there was no comparison. We will definitely be back!
Fun, Interesting and a Good Way to Pass the Afternoon

Walking tours are informative and interesting. We enjoyed this one. We learned about burying bodies above ground and saw a few celebrity houses. You can bring your children. Remember water and sunscreen. Unless it is raining.
