Your excursion to Catalina Island begins with morning pickup at your Punta Cana hotel by your guide.
Travel by air-conditioned bus to La Romana and stop at Casa de Campo, a luxurious Caribbean resort. There, visit Altos de Chavon, a replica of a medieval European village with modern amenities including restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries. Board a Mississippi-style boat for a short cruise down the Chavon River, which is surrounded by lush jungle, and provided some filming locations for the movie Apocalypse Now.
When you reach the ocean, switch to a catamaran for a relaxing sail to Catalina Island. On the way, stop to snorkel at a premier site, using the provided masks, snorkels and fins to see colorful corals and fish in the warm waters of the Dominican Republic.
When you reach Catalina Island, take in the postcard-perfect white-sand beach and turquoise water. Have free time to swim, relax, walk along the beach, and eat a buffet lunch with lobster, accompanied by white and red wine.
Return by catamaran and bus to your hotel in Punta Cana to end your tour.
