Your day trip exploring the national parks of the Dominican Republic begins with pickup from your Punta Cana hotel.
Travel to Los Haitises Park, where you can explore the mangrove swamp and caves containing pictographs by the Taino Indians. Learn about the original residents of this land, then continue to the mouth of a large cave for some photo ops. Visit some small islands that make up the park's bird sanctuary, then board a boat bound for Samana. Please note: the boat trip takes place on the open waters of Samana Bay; this tour may not be suitable for those who suffer from seasickness.
Arrive in El Limon National Park, where you'll have a buffet lunch at a ranch. Mount up your horses and travel about 30 minutes up a steep, switchback trail to the famous El Limon Waterfall. Spend some time exploring the area around the falls and swimming before returning to the ranch. Transfer to the tour vehicle for the ride back to Punta Cana.
