This was an excellent tour. We had a small group of 9 people which was perfect. Our tour guide, Julia, was knowledgeable and she had interesting stories for each of the sites that we visited. We visited 3 locations one was walking distance from the meeting place and the other 2 were locations we had to drive to. We were transported via an air conditioned mini bus which was perfect due to the weather. if you get cold easily, I recommend to bring a light sweater because it will be a little cold underground. Because you are visiting holy places, shoulders and knees must be covered - remember to dress appropriately. The last place you visit will be where you will be dropped off so be sure to plan ahead for pick up or know where you will head to after the tour. The last place we visited was San Nicola in Carcere which was walking distance to the Jewish Ghetto where we had lunch. Make sure to book with Walks of Italy. Thank you Julia for the great tour!
This tour and our guide Andy were fabulous. We had 4 children with us ages ranging from 9 years to 18 years and all of them loved this tour. Our guide was very informative and entertaining! He was comical and kept the interest of all throughout the 3.5 hour tour. He enlightened us all on subjects about the old ruins below the chapel that we had no idea existed. Great, great tour!
Departure location was easy to find, as people approached, she immediately came over and asked which tour we were there for. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Navigating the catacombs was easy. Totally enjoyed this tour and hearing the history of each one.
Excellent tour. Melanie, our guide, was fantastic with outstanding knowledge which made the tour so informative and interesting. I would not hesitate to recommend this particular tour to anyone who wants to see what is below Rome!
