What To Expect

Meet your guide at a centrally located meeting point in Seville, after which drive through a striking landscape of sunflowers and wheat fields heading to “Las Aguzaderas,” a medieval castle that once straddled the border between Spain’s Catholic kingdom and the Moorish empire.

Proceed to Zahara de la Sierra, a picturesque “white village” known for its stunning views and rich history. Take a stroll around town and grab a coffee before touring a local olive oil factory that makes some of the best in all of Andalusia.

Then continue to Grazalema, passing through the “Sierra de la Grazalema” nature park while en route. Enjoy views of distant cities like Cadiz and Malaga from the “Puerto de las Palomas,” located at 3,795 feet (1,157 meters), and scout for the native Griffon vultures that like to float overhead.

Arrive in Grazalema and pause for a tasty meal (own expense) surrounded by the town’s charming houses and colorful flowers. Following your visit, head to Ronda, one of the oldest towns in Spain, passing through a scenic forest filled with cork and oak trees on the way. When you arrive in Ronda, wander through this scenic city situated on two dramatic cliffs and take some free time to explore sights like the famous “New Bridge.”

You are dropped off at a central location in Seville at the end of the excursion.

Traveler Tips

If one has limited time in Andalucia, this should be on their MUST do day trips.
Grazalema (in a national park) is well worth the trip.
The lunch stop was too long, and more time was needed in Ronda.

Just don't
ELLEN_W, Jan 2023
We were so disappointed in this tour. We took multiple tours through Viator on our trip to Spain, and this was by far the worst. We wanted to see Ronda, and they offered the tour on Christmas day. Great! We had a plan on a day for when many things were closed. Well, unbeknownst to us, the tour didn't take that into account. Bathroom breaks? The restaurant in the first white village may be open. Second white village? Nope. Problems with the road. Time in Ronda - 5 hours with extremely limited things to do. The thing that really got me was stopping on the side of the road - literally, the side of the road, to show us olives trees. The guide squeezed an olive in his hand and told us a bit about olives and oil. OK. It was on the side of the road. Not at an olive farm or anything where there were facilities or shops or anything. We basically wasted a day on this trip.

Lovely tour

Spent all day with Sergio. He was a wonderfully patient and knowledgeable guide. We didn’t realize we would be stopping at a village. What a lovely way to spend the day.

Very pretty countryside...
Dorothy_S, Jan 2023
Very pretty countryside and interesting towns to visit. Tour guide gave good overview of people and land
Great experience in Ronda
Kumiko_K, Jan 2023
We had two hours in Ronda. It’s enough to go down to see the bridge from the below and have some beer or coffee after that.
Beautiful views. The tour...
hanna_s, Jan 2023
Beautiful views. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the tour. The bus driver was also very nice.
Nice pace and relax tour
Prodpran_S, Dec 2022
We love our guide, Son. She was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our trip was on Christmas day so a lot of places were closed. The trip pace feel just right and not so rush in Ronda. We have a toddler and 2 seniors in our group. The only place we didn’t bring stroller down was to the view point. But other than that, the sidewalks are stroller friendly. Highly recommend this tour!!!

Amazing sites with Catherine
Rehan_E, Dec 2022
The white villages and Ronda were some of the most beautiful sites my wife and I have ever seen. Catherine was a funny, entertaining, and knowledgeable tour guide fluent in English, Spanish, and French. There were a couple of cons but the trip was still wonderful enough to warrant five stars: The tour bus was either extremely hot/stuffy or cold at times. There was also an unannounced detour on our way back where we picked up people that were not in our tour and dropped them off at the airport. It would have been nice if we knew about this ahead of time. Especially since the traffic on the way back into the city from the airport was horrible and everyone could not wait to get off the bus.
Our guide Son (Song?) was amazing and what a refreshing experience!
Katherine_H, Dec 2022
Our tour guide was a lovely woman named Son or Song? She is very energetic and thorough so I hope you get her! we had fabulous weather - partly cloudy and about 15 C. The bus ride is very comfortable! We weren't able to visit the old castle because it was closed due to recent rains but the tour was still worth it. White villages are amazing and a must see and a very relaxing day! Just enough guide details to make it interesting but not too much to make it overwhelming. Go. Take it as a fun relaxing day and you'll have a great time! Thank you Son (Song?).
Ronda Forever!
Robert_R, Dec 2022
Absolutely beautiful trip and the timed breakout of stops amongst other villages along the way was perfect. Too many favorite things to pick just one, but Ronda was breathtaking to say the least. For price and duration, you can't beat it.
Great tour!
Victoria_Y, Nov 2022
Great trip! We visited 3 villages, including Ronda. Our guide was great and he gave us plenty of time to discover each village - 30 min in first to get coffee and visit lookout; about 1.5 hours in the second to lunch and visit; and about 1.5-2 hours in Ronda. Perfect amount of time to get the main sights. Tour guide was also very knowledgeable and gave just enough information.
Glenys_S, Nov 2022
Katherine was our guide and unfortunately there was nothing that really stood out for me. I thought the stops were too long making the tour longer than it needed to be. The food at the lunch stop was expensive and ordinary. I wouldn’t recommend.
Bonitos Pueblos Blancos
Donald_P, Nov 2022
Nieves did a wonderful job guiding our group to the white towns in the national park. Our weather was not the best - cold, rainy and windy until Ronda. But the gray skies and rugged landscape added to the drama and beauty of the region! Nieves spoke English very well and we appreciated her knowledge and expertise! We very much enjoyed our visit to the olive oil mill and hearing about the bull fighting! This was a very worthwhile tour- bus was comfortable and our driver, Fran, did an amazing job with the hairpin turns!
Seeing the countryside...

Seeing the countryside without having to drive or look at a map. Barbara was a lovely, knowledgeable guide.

Very LONG day!
Beth_C, Nov 2022
We were aware of the length of this trip. What we were not aware of was how long we would be on a large bus with limited space. The first white village we went to was beautiful but the people there were clearly not pleased with our presence. Second white village was for lunch - we left the group and had a lovely lunch on our own. Ronda was a bit of a disappointment. High point was the Roman bridge but after that, it’s a small city located in beautiful country. Manuel was a wonderful tour leader - he didn’t control most of what didn’t work for us. He was funny and shared lots of information. I would recommend this tour if you fully understand the travel required AND wear good walking shoes! Oh, and make sure you do not suffer from Motion sickness!!
Quality day trip!
EricHongWei_K, Nov 2022
The guide Manuel! He was knowledgeable, funny and took care of everyone. He made the trip entirely enjoyable
Well worth the cost!

Solid tour, but not great. Can benefit from specific improvements.
Igor_F, Oct 2022
I have conflicting views about this tour. On the one hand, I really enjoyed and some of my best photos during my 2 week trip in Spain is from this tour. On the other hand, I think it can benefit from specific improvements. The organization was good, and the bus was sufficiently comfortable and on time. Our guide (a somewhat past middle aged woman, whose name I don't recall) spoke decent English, French and Spanish. I liked her, because she provided a good balance between too much speaking and too little. She told just enough essential history, without overloading us. My issue is that in the second village, we only had just enough time to eat lunch and nothing else. So, I think this village can be skipped, or more time should be allotted to it. Ronda was very scenic, and I would allot some 30-60 mins more to it, to do some shopping, eating, pics taking, even if it means getting back a little later. I didn't mind the olive oil factory, but the video about how oil is made could be skipped to save some time. Of course it's no one's fault that the villages/Ronda are far from Seville, but IMO might as well make the tour 1.5 hours or so longer, to get the full experience. There is plenty of time to rest/sleep on the bus anyway, if too tired.

The bus ride is pretty...
Terry_E, Oct 2022
The bus ride is pretty miserable, it's a bunch of curvy roads and up and down but the bridge in Ronda is awesome and lead to the best picture of our entire trip. Make sure you take Dramamine and you'll be fine.
