Very satisfied

This shore tour with City Break Tours was one of the best tours I have ever been on. The organization was on the highest level and I can’t praise enough the professional skills of the guide Olga. She was native in tour leading and a great English speaker. Olga was very well informed on each topic and gave us a great insight of Russian history. We started off with a city tour which covered a major part of the city center and gave us an opportunity to capture some amazing views. The Winter Palace was breathtaking and I properly enjoyed the visit thanks to Olga who seemed to escape many lines. The lunches were satisfying and tasty. Overall the tour was a great value for money.

Exceptional tour

Passing through the passport control I was a little anxious that it will take more time than expected as there were lines. It appeared to take only about 20 minutes so I was in the terminal earlier than the tour starting time. Our lovely guide Polina was already waiting and kindly explained we had to wait for the other group members. The tour took off at approximately 9:10 am when everyone was ready. The group was sized 14 people. The driver, Alexey, and Polina took us to the city center. There were some excellent picture opportunities and thanks god the weather was cloudless at this time. The first visit of the day was the Hermitage. I was totally impressed with Polina's knowledge and the skill of orientation in the hundreds of corridors, halls and rooms. During our lunch time there was an opportunity to do a little shopping. We visited the Savior on the Spilled Blood which was truly magical. The boat trip on the canal was a wonderful way to end up the first day with. On the second day, we traveled out of the city. Both places we visited were exceptionally remarkable. I do not have enough words to describe how much I enjoyed discovering these summer parks and gardens and learning about the history and the arts from our guide Polina. Thank you so much for organizing this outstanding tour for us. It was our favorite city to visit this summer.

2 Days to Remember

We had a wonderful time in Russia thanks to City Break Tours. As an experienced traveler I'm always taking small-group tours for me and my husband. We believe touring in a small group is the best way to discover the city in an easy way. Alexandra was our guide and she took care of us during those 2 days. She was following the schedule of the day and we had enough time to enjoy each stop on the way without feeling rushed. Alexandra was very friendly and personable. She always tried to understand what is interesting for us to adjust her pace and speech. We really got to skip the long lines to the museums as guide led us to the special entrance at the designated times. The Hermitage, Peterhof and the Faberge museum were simply stunning. There was a canal cruise, an amazing relaxing experience after a full day of sightseeing. I have to mention the lunches, against my expectations they were delicious and varied on both days. On top of that, I would like to say our driver was excellent too. If I had to go back in time and spend those 2 days in Russia again, I would not have changed a thing. It was marvelous!

Absolutely amazing tour

Loved this tour!!!! Amazing architecture and stunning palaces, museums, churches... I knew St Petersburg was a beautiful city but never imagined it to be gorgeous on this level. Thanks to our guide Olga we discovered the city inside and out... it would be impossible without someone as experienced and knowledgeable as her. I was pleasantly surprised by Olga's excellent English language as well. The bus was spotlessly clean and the driver, Kirill, was very welcoming. I felt it’s one-in-a-lifetime adventure and wished to stay in Saint Petersburg longer. The visa free waivers and all arrangements by the tour agency were handled without any problem. I wouldn’t hesitate to book any tour from this company as the quality was on top of my expectations.

Cheers to City Break Tours

We had 2 wonderful days with City Break Tours and our tour leader Marina. She arranged all the logistics perfectly giving us a chance to see as much as possible yet without any hurry. I must say St Petersburg is a popular touristic city and it was busy in some museums, especially the Hermitage. Marina navigated our group as a professional and pointed our attention at the most worthy pieces of art. Marina told us that if we had visited St Catherine Palace, it would have been twice busier than the Hermitage and we would have been pushed by the crowds. It was hard to imagine a busier place at that moment but we believed our guide and were happy the tour organizers swapped St Catherine Palace for the Pavlovky Palace which was barely crowded at all. The tour itself was an excellent experience and I wouldn't wish to see St Petersburg in any other way.

Can't wait to be back

It was the best way to see St Peter in 2 days since the time was very limited and I found this tour the most complete. My personal favourite of the route was of course the Faberge Museum. Our guide Alexandria was extremely interesting to listen to and always amazed us with her knowledge. Without her commentary we would not be able to understand or appreciate the beauty that surrounded us. In general, it was a fantastic experience and one of the most fascinating tours Ive ever done.

excellent shore excursion

this is the best shore excursion in the whole 9 days Baltic cruise trip, particularly with a very professional tour guide named Anna who is not only very knowledgeable about all the sight-seeing spots but controlled the time frame accurately, explained the guests' question in detail with a polite manner. If I have to pick up something I don't feel satisfied I would say the lunch was mediocre.

It was a wonderful trip in the last days of September. I properly enjoyed touring the city center and the gardens in the surrondings. Lovely guide and professional driver made this journey nice and easy. The tour time was used wisely and the restaurant for lunches were located close to the visited sights. The meals were tasty and fulfilling. City Break tours was great to deal with and I will definitelly come back for the second visit to St Petersburg

Outstanding!

Oksana is an outstanding tour guide ~ the tour program is well planned and executed. Meal included is excellent with plenty of time to enjoy it. Shopping is planned at a local merchant who carries the best of the best at reasonable prices. The Hermitage is incredible, Oksana did a very fine job of showing us the highlights and covering the history in the time allotted. Try to skip the coat check and use that time for the museum. Coat check in and out eats 30 valuable minutes!!! The sites included are all very beautiful and well deserving of the in-depth history Oksana provided. Be prepared to walk your socks off!
