We took this tour with Liz. She seemed to know everything there was to know about the Hermitage Museum and was able to devise a tour which covered the most important aspects and also added in some personal touches. We really enjoyed the day and felt we were treated well. The tour was not a conveyer belt and Liz made sure we were happy with the plan and that we were getting what we wanted. It was a great day out from pick up at the hotel through to end of the tour.

We, a party of three, were picked up in the lobby of our hotel by the tour guide, Elena, who was so so friendly and knowledgeable and also spoke perfect English. We walked to the museum and on the way she told us about some notable examples of architecture and history of the city, so that was a nice bonus. There was simply no way to experience so much of the Hermitage in four hours without her - she was also happy to adjust the tour to our requests, and answered all questions - regardless if they were smart or stupid. This is by far the best way to experience this vast collection of art pieces, architecure and history - we skipped the lines, had the amazing guide all to ourselves, and she knew all the shortcuts and best pieces. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
