Charles was a Wonderful Guide
Chelsea K
, Nov 2018
We had a wonderful tour with great, in-depth information on the history of Vikings and Sigtuna the city. We got lucky and were able to enter a church that had been closed for 5 years for renovations so that was amazing. Had many great conversations with our guide and had a really great day overall. Thank you again!

Good overview of local Viking history

Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna | Feb 2020
Gabriel was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot in our short time. Not knowing much at all about Viking history I found the tour fascinating and very worthwhile to see all of it up close. The town of Sigunta is quaint and historic and the stop at the coffeehouse at the end was a great way to cap the day. He also filled us in on the local Stockholm area as well and gave us tips on restaurants and museums to visit.

Exciting Look at Local History

Private Tour: Viking History Trip from Stockholm Including The Runic Kingdom | Feb 2020
A great experience! Communication before the excursion was efficient and friendly and our guide picked us up at our hotel right on time. Our group of five had a great time checking out the different sites and we were all impressed with our guide's passion for the local history. We spent nearly a week in Sweden celebrating our mom's 70th birthday and she said this excursion was the highlight of her tour. Job well done. Thank you!!

Hugely enjoyable and informative

Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna | Dec 2019
This tour was, by far, the best experience I had during a four day visit to Stockholm. Nadia, our guide, was brilliant, with a huge depth of knowledge about the Vikings - and a remarkable ability to communicate that knowledge. Great sense of humour, and enthusiasm about her subject, too. She’s an absolute gem and Viator are fortunate to have her services as a guide. A memorable day!

A good day.

Private Tour: Swedish History Day Trip to World Heritage Candidate Markim-Orkesta from Stockholm | Sep 2019
The trip was very interesting and learned quite a lot. More time to sit down to have a lunch would have been better as time was running out to see all the things. An extra history building or style of old home would have been good to have seen to mix it up a bit.

Very nice guide but a bit overpriced

Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna | Sep 2019
Our guide Quentin was very nice and knowledgable. The visit to the small old town was definitly our favourite and the lake nearby was beautiful. The tour is a bit overpriced however but maybe that's also due to the Stockholm area. Would recommend this if you're very interested in Vikings.

Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna | Sep 2019
Informative excursion to some Viking historic sites. Our guide was an archaeologist who specialized in that period. Well done. Highly recommended. Certainly a must for all of those who know little about Vikings and their impressive history and accomplishments.

Viking History Small-Group Trip from Stockholm including Sigtuna and Uppsala: Full Day | Aug 2019
Bumpy start but quickly turned into a great tour. Quentin was informative and the bus driver patient. We saw amazing pieces of history in small distances and had plenty of free time to forage about.

Private Tour: Viking History Trip from Stockholm Including The Runic Kingdom | Aug 2019
I was at the cusp of divorce with a very loud husband who intruded at every opportunity. He is "not going to look at a bunch of rocks". He was horrid! The tour guide was so professional and kind, she knew the tour mattered to me and took great effort to be sure I was able to visit my heritage sites and as a few questions when we could have a breath. It was wonderful for me as a person of mixed heritage to be able to visit these places.

Entertaining and Informative - Getting a Glimpse of Stockholm in the Comfort of a Car

Private Car Tour of Stockholm with a Live guide, including the Vasa museum. | Aug 2019
Of course, Stockholm is a city that must be explored by foot but, this tour is a great way to get your bearings of the beautiful city in a short amount of time and when you can't be on your feet for a full day. Our guide, Äsä, is a history professor, and she had our full attention, including our 13 year old daughter, as soon as we got into her car. She has a wonderful gift of storytelling and making history come alive, both in the Vasa Museum and while touring Gamla Stan on foot. We learned so much about Swedish customs and culture as well as politics and history. While most visitors to the Vasa Museum had audio guides or read the descriptions beside each display, we were the envy of other visitors with our own private guide and commentary. Äsä is a wealth of information and really passionate about sharing her knowledge. Our tour extended well over one hour and we really appreciated the time she spent with us. I highly recommend Äsä and this tour.

A Viking Adventure with Nadia

Private Full Day Viking History Tour from Stockholm Including Sigtuna and Uppsala | Jul 2019
We spent a day touring Viking sites with Nadia. We travel frequently and have been to more countries than I can name. In all that time, we have never had a guide as bright, insightful, and fun as Nadia. She has a Ph.D in anthropology and a deep understanding of many cultures, including the Vikings. She is thoughtful and flexible with a great sense of humor. If you want an unforgetable day you will always remember with a smile on your face spend a tour anywhere in Sweden with Nadia.

Worst tour- don't waste your money.

Small group Swedish History Day Trip to the countryside, UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE Candiade area Markim-Orkesta from Stockholm | Jul 2019
This is no more than a trip to the countryside in a cramped 7 passenger van.Saw 2 churches, both closed. Some claimed Viking relics with very little value. The other 4 passengers were rude and very demanding of tour guide who no control of them. Many bathroom stops and one passenger requested and received an unscheduled kuch stop. Total waste of time and money. I resoectfully request a refund from Viator.

Viking History Small-Group Trip from Stockholm including Sigtuna and Uppsala: Full Day | Jul 2019
Our guide Tobias was very informed and made the trip a pleasure. Amazing rune stones and he provided all the information on what they meant! The Uppsalla and Sigtuna areas were very interesting and played key roles in Sweden's development - the Cathedral was magnificent as were the ruins of the old church in Sigtuna. A trip well worth taking

Education in the cow pasture

Viking History Small-Group Trip from Stockholm including Sigtuna and Uppsala: Full Day | Jun 2019
The first stop was literally in a cow pasture where There were three runes which Nadia used to begin our education on Viking culture. Each stop was enlightening and while Sagtuna was great for its history and quaintness Uppsala was wonderful for its cathedral and mounds. Very enjoyable.
