Make your way to a restaurant that’s a five-minute walk from the Kisarazu Station in Chibu, and start the evening with a leisurely kaiseki dinner.
Your meal will be served in a room with elegant Japanese architecture, and you’ll be seated on traditional tatami mats. In the spirit of Japanese cuisine, the menu changes with the season, but the kaiseki meal starts with an assortment of small plates and Japanese appetizers, then you’ll try sashimi and grilled seasonal fish. After an entrée of seafood tempura or seafood skewers, finish the meal with a sweet dessert.
After dinner, soak up the colorful crowds in Kisarazu, then watch the fireworks from a reserved seating area. The fireworks show begins at 7pm, marking the end of the vibrant Kisarazu Port Festival, and you’ll have great views of the display's 10,000 fireworks.
