Your day-trip begins at Seibu-Shinjuku station, which is walking distance from Shinjuku station in central Tokyo. Greet your guide outside, then catch your reserved onward train.
Following the journey on an express train, you’ll arrive in Sayama City and greet a local tea master. After a short demonstration on how to carefully harvest green tea leaves, you’ll spend some time picking, rolling, brewing, and drinking refreshing green tea leaves. Plus, you’ll sample the unique delicacy of tempura green tea leaves.
Following a Japanese lunch at your own expense, you’ll proceed to the Edo-style town of Kawagoe. Formerly a prosperous castle town, Kawagoe boasts an array of streets lined with well-preserved Edo-style buildings. Tick off highlights such as Dream Street, Spatiotemporal Bell, Snack Street, and Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine on a relaxed walking tour.
After your experience concludes, you’ll board a return train back to central Tokyo.
