School yourself in the ways of the ninja warrior during this fun-filled guided tour through the streets of Tokyo’s Asakusa district wearing an authentic ninja costume. If you’ve ever wanted to be a ninja (or maybe just look like one for the day), this excursion is for you.

Meet up with the other members of your new “ninja clan” in the morning at the Kaminarimon Gate, proceeding to suit up in your ninja outfit before hitting the streets of Asakusa for a day of fun and exploration. Wander the more than 80 shops lining the famous Nakamise Dori, where you can hunt for a few ninja souvenirs, and sample some Tsukudani, a snack made by boiling meat, seafood or seaweed in soy sauce.

After finishing your morning ninja adventures, fuel up with a stop for a lunch of ‘Okonomiyaki,’ a savory pancake stuffed with meats and vegetables. When lunch is done, strike your best ninja pose at one of Japan’s famous “Purikura” machines, a special photo-taking booth where you can photograph, edit and even customize your favorite images before receiving a souvenir printout of your session. Celebrate the end of your ninja experience by sampling some “Dagashi” (cheap candy) and stocking up on “ninja supplies” at a special ninja-themed store before returning to your original departure point.
Itinerary
Pass By:
Asakusa
Meet your guide in Tokyo's Asakusa district  at 11am and get ready for your 4-hour tour exploring the streets like a ninja. Get dressed up in your ninja costume — advise the local tour operator of sizes beforehand — and hit the streets to see Asakusa's top sightseeing spots. Try out some ninja moves by the Kaminarimon ("Thunder Gate"), the outer of the two large entrances leading to the Senso-ji temple. The gate, with its lantern and statues, is perfect spot for a few photos while dressed in your ninja garb. Head down Nakamise Dori and check out one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan. There are numerous stores along Nakamise Dori, about 50 on the east side and 30 on the west side, all of them of historical interest. Along the way, sample tsukudani, a preserved food boiled in soy sauce, and pop in to the ninja store for some souvenirs. After you have spent some time touring the local streets, try your hand at cooking a traditional Japanese dish for lunch. Okonomiyaki is a savory Japanese pancake that consists of batter and cabbage and is perfect for refueling active ninjas. After lunch, stop in to one of Tokyo's many purikura booths for fun photos, which you can edit and illustrate before receiving a sticker print-out. End your ninja adventure by snacking on dagashi, traditional Japanese sweets, before saying goodbye.

It was a lot of fun to dress up as a ninja and to learn how to throw ninja stars and use a blowgun and sword. We did more than I expected we were going to do on this tour and our ninja guides were so much fun
