Get a taste of Cinque Terre on this 4-hour tour from Manarola, Cinque Terre, that combines a pesto demonstration, a boat cruise along the coast, and lunch. Travel to Cinque Terre via train with your group, then end the tour in Vernazza with a Cinque Terre trail pass to explore further if you wish.
This is the perfect tour for anyone who wants to experience all five of the Cinque Terre villages in a single day, but with a guide who avoids the congested routes most tour groups take and introduces you to the more tranquil and undisturbed pockets of this gorgeous area. Lovingly crafted by real locals, this tour is a taste of what is most special about the Cinque Terre — the stuff many people miss because they don't have the right intel.
Fitness level: The Cinque Terre is mostly built on inclines and getting around here involves quite a lot of climbing. We take our time, but the geography of the area requires that you be fit enough to walk for most of the duration of the tour and to climb steps and inclines comfortably.
Discover the sights, sounds, and tastes of the colorful villages of Cinque Terre on this 4-hour walking tour. This is a “best of both worlds” tour. You’ll visit the most famous Cinque Terre town, and the least busy Cinque Terre town. Plus, you’ll walk a small section of the most loved Cinque Terre hiking path. Visiting these villages and hiking between them is one of the most special experiences in all of Italy. You’ll travel at a relaxed pace, walking through a gorgeous Mediteranean landscape, with a tasty treat of gelato and local wine to celebrate your efforts.
We start in Vernazza, and our guide will lead you on the quiet streets that most travelers don’t know about. We’ll take you to the most iconic shot in all of the Cinque Terre and visit the Vernazza harbour before hitting the trail and walking to the next town, hiking along a stunning route that provides all the panoramic views and beauty you see in magazines. Once in under-the-radar Corniglia, our guide will take you for a gelato and a tasty drink to toast the day.
The tour will end in Corniglia, overlooking the ocean.
Meet your hiking guide in the evening before sunset in the village of Corniglia. Start your walk uphill in the forest above Corniglia with the last light of the day, night will fall quickly and soon you will see the light of the full moon illuminating your steps. After about 1,5 hours hiking time you will reach the vineyards of Volastra, spectacularly located overlooking the sea and the villages of Corniglia and Manarola. The narrow path meanders over the terraced fields amidst the vines and it's an incredible experience doing this hike under the full moon. Enjoy the full beauty of the scenery while stopping in a panoramic spot in the vineyard where you will taste the most precious wine of the Cinque Terre – the famous Sciacchetrà. After this break it's only a short walk to the little village of Volastra where you have the option to catch a bus to reach Manarola or go on by foot.
In Spring and in Fall the ground could be slippery and the trekking restricted to the village of Manarola!
This tour takes you out of the fray and along a lesser-known path overlooking Monterosso, its beautiful bay, and the sea’s horizon.
We walk up to the town’s monastery, the Convento dei Cappuccini, which has a 400-year history, and past some more recent relics, like a WWII bunker perched over the waves. You don’t have to be a history buff to appreciate the views from up here, though — they are spectacular!
We make our way to a “secret” winery behind the oldest part of town, an oasis nestled amid vineyards and olive and lemon groves. Peaceful and relaxing, you’ll feel plucked off of the busy beaten path and deposited in this beautiful, quiet valley tucked behind the town. You’ll enjoy a tasting of their wines and some snacks prepared with the olives and honey they produce themselves.
You’ll slowly make your way back to town, and finish your tour winding through some of Monterosso’s prettiest laneways to the village’s most charming shopping and eating area.
