The Basics

Auschwitz-Birkenau is comprised of Auschwitz I—the site of a visitor center, museum exhibitions, artifacts, and multimedia displays—and Birkenau (or Auschwitz II), left almost exactly as it was when the Nazis abandoned it at the end of the war, complete with gas chamber ruins. Group and private tours with round-trip transportation from Krakow Old Town typically cover both sites and are available in several languages. A visit to Auschwitz can also be combined with the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Excellent service
Pick up on home, lovely clean car and our driver Julian was very pleasant. We took up the offer of lunch being provided at a small additional cost which is recommended given there is only a short time between both tours.

Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided One Day Tour
The salt mines were very interesting, having the tour guide made the trip much more relatable and enjoyful. The pick up was on time, the bus was clean and everyone on it was friendly. The camp was also much better having a tour guide.

Day Trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine from Krakow including Lunch
Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau we're wrenching. The tour guide was very good. The Wielizcka Salt Mine was a nice palate-cleanser after the emotionally-difficult morning. Be prepared for a LOT of walking. I logged almost 25,000 steps. Wear comfortable shoes. The trip was very much worth the price.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour by Private Transport from Krakow
Highly recommend this tour. Communication was good. Pick up on time. Vehicle clean and comfortable. Driver Damian was courteous, friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. He even provided us with an umbrella to shade us from the hit sun. The tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau with an official guide was also excellent. Very moving. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a must see experience and this was a great way to do it.

Auschwitz & Birkenau: Live-Guided Tour with Transportation and Hotel Pickup
This trip was very well organised. Our pick up by James was on time, in a very smart clean people carrier. James was very polite and friendly and knowledgable, he gave us a bit of a guided tour at the start of the journey. Our tour guide for both sites, was amazing, very passionate and knowledgable. It was very sobering and something which must never be allowed to happen again! I would certainly recommend these guys any day of the week!!

Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial Guided Tour from Krakow
We got there on a rainy day, it made the walking around feel and understand better the history that the place has to say. I totally recommend this visit as you gain knowledge and better understanding about the events, especially about human suffering, which should be a huge lesson!
