"Highly recommend and ask for Ma-de! Winding down after a few weeks in SE Asia we decided to spend a few days in UBUD and added in this tour to break free of the busy downtown UBUD streets. Although our hotel, Westin Element, offered a free shuttle to the monkey sanctuary, having this as part of the package - made for a perfect start of the day. This wasn’t’ initially on the top of my list but turned out to be a wonderful experience - the monkeys are well taken care of and roam free, yet I never felt as if they were a threat to our young child. From there, Ma-de bought us to a less visited temple, then a wonderful stop for lunch, followed by a stop over at a interactive coffee plantation - another highlight. After a full sampling and a nice dose of caffeine, we visited the Pura Tirta Empul (lots of tourists wanting to be cleansed - well, at least for their Instagrams -but worth the stop), and then onward to a beautiful rice field viewing. For me, the key to these tours is having an interactive driver to help explain the history of the sites along with adding in local knowledge while in transit. Ma-de helped to create the perfect day!
